I drew Johanna with little baby Dawn, based on an old photo of little me with my mom. Don't ask what my mom had been trying to do there, cuz I don't know! Lol, even she couldn't remember when we had last looked at that before she passed.

Anyway, happy mother's day and happy Sunday!

Ingo is not the only one Arceus split in two for my Split Ingo au. Dawn also gets split, but Arceus dealt with her memories a bit differently.

While It sent the Hisui!Ingo with memories of his name and the basics of who he is, Arceus didn't even give that to the Hisui!Dawn. That version of her doesn't remember anything about herself other than pokemon, battling, and some basics about how battling and catching in her time work. With no memory of even her name, Professor Laventon helps give her the name Akari so she has something to go by. Arceus wanted her to be the perfect blank slate hero, one that had no memories of a place to want to return to. Just the need to complete the goal set out for her.

Meanwhile, Dawn back home in modern Sinnoh still remembers her past and who she is, but has no memories of pokemon, battling, how to catch pokemon, or how the gyms work. Which is a bit difficult when she's the current champion of Sinnoh. And she recognizes her pokemon, but like Unova!Ingo, she can't remember anything about them as pokemon or their types or move sets. Leading to visits to hospitals and therapy to try and help her regain her memories.

The first things I drew once I have moved in to a new place are mainly about Johanna. I got inspired by Ink Masters to give Johanna some tattoos. First she got one in her 20s shortly after having Dawn, to commemorate her daughter and to just do something fun for herself. Then, years later, once Rosie and Percy (my ocs) came along, she had to get two more tattoos for her new kids. And of course she wanted to get one for Ingo, but he insisted they get matching ones together. I just think it's all cute! And I love drawing Johanna chubby!

If y'all can't tell, I really like Johanna. I also think she deserves cute outfits! I found the two outfits on the first page from this post, and then I designed her sygna suit myself. Then I realized it was basically a maid outfit, so I had to throw butler Ingo in there!

Some more Izzy! Warden Izzy, and then years later, when she's married to Johanna and they're just sweet and domestic. Johanna doesn't want her wife to leave for work yet, so she's trying to persuade her for just a little more cuddle time in bed 💜

Every mainline Pokemom! They deserve some love, and I wanted to try drawing more than just my fave, Johanna. I also gave them all names! I think they deserve to have some names, even if it's just a first name. But I also put in way too much thought for the last names, so you get those too, lol. Explanations for the names are below the cut!

I still think it's funny that Johanna and Grace are the only ones with canon names, and Caroline apparently only has her's in the anime.

The Pokemon Company has announced a book focusing on the ecology of Pokemon, which will take a fresh look at the lives of wild Pokemon! This is an encyclopedia providing easy-to-understand explanations of the differences, similarities, rules, and connections between each Pokemon's ecology!

Announcing - "Follow the Schedule!" - A Submas 2026 Calendar Project - Interest Check!

"Follow the Schedule!" is a collaborative calendar project I've been preparing for a bit in secret! I'll be running this similarly to a fandom zine, though on a much smaller scale since I'm essentially the only "moderator" for the project.

The calendar will feature illustrations for each month matching the seasonal theme associated. Depending on responses from the interest, the project will also have stretch goals for stationary or printed merch to go along with the calendar!
