How to Hide Your Files and Apps on Android
If you frequently suffer the minor pang of a panic attack when you hand your phone to someone and realize you have sensitive emails/documents/images or other files on your device, then you need a way of hiding those files from prying eyes. Or perhaps you have apps installed that you'd rather keep for just your own eyes. No one needs to know about that Farming Sim app you play. Either way, we've put together a list of different ways you can keep your personal files and apps secure.
Tumblr media
Basic ways to hide photos, apps and files
While some manufacturers have added 'vault' features to provide a secure space on handsets (Samsung, for example), stock Android hasn't been very good at dealing with the need to selectively show files and folders by default, and from what we've seen of Nougat so far, it hasn't made great leaps in this area just yet.
What users with any version of Android can do for a really basic privacy fix is alter the names of the folders holding the content you want to hide. So if you want to hide your images, open up a file explorer (there's a basic one built into Android Marshmallow and Nougat), select the folder with the images you want to hide and alter its name. Now, it won't show your images in your gallery or files in folders.
Of course, it's not really very hidden though - Android isn't automatically pulling the information onto your display anymore but if you lose your phone the files are still fully accessible.
Similarly, you can hide those annoying pre-installed apps that arrive with your phone but don't allow uninstallation without using a third-party app. To do so, you need to navigate to Settings > Apps and then choose the app you want to hide. If you can't uninstall them, you can usually disable them. If you need to learn how to stop apps from running in the background, you can do that first.
Outside help
If you just want to hide, rather than secure, your apps, one of the easiest ways to do this is by installing a non-stock launcher (assuming your manufacturer hasn't provided a native option for hiding apps). There are a whole lot to choose from that let you hide apps, but among the most popular on the Play Store is the ever-present Nova Launcher.
While there's a free version of Nova Launcher, you'll need the paid Prime upgrade to unlock the option to hide apps. If you purchase that, you'll need to navigate to Nova Launcher > Nova settings >App & Widget drawers and then scroll down to the Drawer groups > Hide apps option.
Tumblr media
Private Zone-applock
Private Zone is the good app for hiding photos and media security. The program just hides photos and other files in the program instead of uploading any data to the app server. The data in the smartphone is encrypted to make sure no one could see them even if they access the Android device.
The photos can be easily added to the locker via different means.
Get full control over the photos inside the app, such as zooming, panning and slideshow view.
It will also auto lock itself if your phone goes to sleep.

Privacy Protection: Hide Your Sexy Photos with Secret Apps
Overseas studies suggest one in 10 young people have taken a nude photo of themselves and sent it, and one in five young people have seen such an image.
“Sexting is part of many people’s courtship now,” Dr Lauren Rosewarne, a University of Melbourne pop culture researcher, told news.com.au.
“There’s no single demographic doing this — any sexually active person with access to technology can do it.”
Tumblr media
To make sure these pics don't come back to haunt you, the rule of thumb is to delete them right away and to make sure your phone has a secure password on it. But if you want to hold onto your digital sexts, you'll need to take steps to keep them as private as you can.
From password-protected galleries to photo editing vaults, here are some security apps where you can safely store your sexiest photos.
Spy Calc
Spy Calc is the app to stow away your private pictures, videos, documents and recordings. You can also easily transfer media files to the app via Wi-Fi using a browser. When you turn on the embedded web server, you can open a browser to the address provided to drag and drop the media files with ease.
Behind the working calculator interface, it is the app to hide photos.
Underlying database stores copies of videos, pictures only once to save space.
The program is able to group pictures, documents and recordings.
It also provides keyword tagging and searching.
Photo Lock Vault
Just as the other photo hider apps, if it is the first time or you do not pay much attention to the icon, you might take Photo Lock Vault as the Calculator App of Apple. When you launch the program, you can find it is the app to hide photos and videos. Here are the features of Photo Lock Vault as follow.
Once the program backup and hide photos, it will remove photos from iPhone.
Fully functioning calculator to deceive other people from trying to see your private content.
The photo hider is able to create and name custom albums.

Vaulty
In order to protect photos and video files that no one else can see, you can use Vaulty app to hide photos instead. Vault is a versatile photo hider app with all the data in your Android, including photos, videos, SMS, contacts and even Apps. You can add the photos and protect them with password instead.

Use a PIN code or password to protect your Vaulty vaults.
The program can keep the data safe in case of an accident.

 Photo Locker
Photo Locker is the good app for hiding photos and media security.
The program might be annoying, but it will save you if you forget to lock the app.

How to Keep Prying Eyes out of Your Applications
The security of a smartphone is something that should be taken very seriously. Android and iOS do allow users to add a passcode lock to the lock screen, but many users find it very inconvenient and would rather risk their data getting into the wrong hands than enter the PIN or pattern lock every time. Majority of us use email and other messaging apps on our mobile devices, which contain sensitive data that we wouldn’t want others to access. What if you could just password protect specific apps such as Gallery, Messages, etc? The Google Play Store has some decent tools that password protect specific apps so you don’t have to lock the entire device. Past the break, we’ve compiled a list of some of the best apps from this genre.
Private Zone – applock
With this app’s applock feature, you can create a specific PIN (or an app-specific PIN) that can then be used to lock down whatever applications you wish to secure. It's incredibly simple to use. The applications comes with premium features such as Photo Vault, Video Vault, themes, lock switch, etc. These features are not available in the basic version, but users can enjoy them for free if they opt for the ad-enabled version. If ads don’t bother you, just select “Upgrade to Premium” from the menu and select the ad-enabled version.
Tumblr media
Smart App Protector
Unlike AppLock, Smart App Protector comes with some extra features, with the most prominent being the Observer mode, which monitors unlocking of the apps and upon failed attempts, captures a snapshot of the intruder with the front-facing camera.
Other features include multiple unlocking methods (passcode, pattern lock and gestures), remote control and customizable themes. The remote control feature allows users to lock or unlock the device using an SMS, but the feature seems to be kind of buggy, and didn’t work properly during our testing. Everything else worked like a charm, though.
The application is free of cost, but comes with advertisements. If you find them annoying, you can purchase the ad-free version for $2.73 or subscribe for a yearly payment of $1.79. The premium version also brings complete update support and removes advertisements from the application.
MaxLock
MaxLock is an awesome app locker for rooted Android devices only. That’s sad but if you have a rooted Android device, you get some great features with MaxLock. The app is based on Xposed Framework, so you obviously need to have Xposed installed on your device. MaxLock is a totally free and ad-free app that unlike many app lockers out there, gives performance and battery the priority. The locking methods include fingerprint, PIN, pattern and knock code. The open-source app includes ton of customization options, fake crash feature, a MasterSwitch to disable it easily, ability to remove thumbnail of apps in the recents window, and more.
There’s a Premium version of the app as well, which you can get via a donation. It brings features like I.Mod (grace period for delay in re-locking), logs of failed unlock attempts, and ability to backup/restore locked apps list.
FingerSecurity
FingerSecurity is one of the best app lockers for Android, thanks to its sheer number of features.
The feature-rich app lets you lock apps via fingerprint and you can enable the improved protection features to make sure that parts of the app and the app’s data isn’t visible in the recents screen. There’s also the advanced security option to prevent uninstalls. The app also lets you set a time out, which is the delay in re-locking apps, along with options to theme the fingerprint indicator, and more.
The app is available in a free version but it’s fairly limited. However, you can get the Premium version, which brings more theming options, like the ability to change background of the lock page. It also brings options to set safe locations, detect intruders, set up a fake crash, and more. Overall, the app definitely packs in a ton of features but in my usage, I did face a few hiccups in performance, so that’s something you should keep in mind.

How to Hide Files on Android without Root
Every one of us has secrets that we would not wish to be disclosed to others. A phone is no more a little thing that is used to make and receive calls. We get our emails on our phones, store our important documents, passwords, personal data, photos, videos, apps, messages and so on. In most cases, most of people worry about the visibility of their private data or secrets on smartphone.
As my personal experience, there are many apps available in Google Play market that can help you with your mobile data security without root. Besides, many people dislike rooting their phones because the rooted one faces a common threat from mis-operation and sometimes you may turn your Android device into a brick. It is this reason that yields the development of applock apps in the market.
Tumblr media
Private Zone is one of the most renowned apps on Google Play Store. Used by millions of users out there, it can help you stylize your device in no time. Most significantly, with it, you can lock any app from your device’s screen. It is used by over 200 million users over the world and provides a sophisticated way to redefine your smartphone experience.
You can customize the overall look and feel of your device using its lock screen as well, since it has plenty of other benefits. It has come out to be an obvious choice for app hider no root. Using Private Zone, you can hide any app without the need of rooting it.
Keeper is another popular secure password manager and digital vault for businesses and individuals. It can protect and manage your passwords, documents, private photos and other secret information with first-class security. You can lock apps also. It helps millions of people and thousands of businesses protect their most sensitive private info by storing passwords and more with ultra-powerful AES-256 and PBKDF2 encryption, saving and organizing unlimited passwords from your Android device and generating strong passwords for each of your accounts, anytime and anywhere.
Tumblr media
Perfect app lock, as its name, it is one of the best app lockers for Android to protect your apps in a perfect way. It provides three types of lock protection: fake fingerprint scanner, fake error pop-up and password protection. The fake error is the best way to hide your apps from curious eyes. It shows a fake warning, that the process is not working correctly. You can also control the brightness and rotation of each app. It also provides a unique feature that makes it distinct from another Apps that is Stealth mode. In this mode, an App becomes completely invisible from the launcher.
ES App Locker is a derivative app of ES File Manager and Explorer. It is a popular file browsing application and also has many external functions. ES App Locker is a product of the same company, which is tiny and easy to use application. There are two ways to lock the application; Pattern and Password. You can also set both ways to lock apps. According to its features and functionalities, it is on the cool applock for Android devices.
Apps Lock & Gallery Hider is another best app lock for Android which comes with rich and intelligent features. You can protect all downloaded as well as system apps with PIN and Pattern lock. The features of this app are divided into three sections, such as Smart features, Security features and Hi-Tech features.
There are still many other app lock apps to help you hide photos, images as well as files. If you don’t want to root your phone, but want to hide some private file on your device, using apps with applock feature I think is the best choice.

How to Triple Your Internet Speed for Free
Do you want to know how to double or triple your Internet speed? The traditional two ways are that upgrade your Internet speed (usually by paying more), or switch to a better provider. Your network speed is measured typically by your WiFi download speed, upload speed, and latency.
Internet Service Providers (ISPs), when signing a contract with a new user, usually offer Internet service packages that establish your maximum download and upload speeds. So, if your contract with your ISP is set for a max speed of 1Mbps (megabits per second), it is quite difficult for you to exceed this speed limit.
Tumblr media
When search “How to increase your network speed” in Google, the answers are: Run a WiFi speed test; Compare your speed results against what you're paying for; Turn your router off and on; Change your Wi-Fi channel to a relatively not crowded one; Move your wireless router or phone; Conduct security detection for your network; Check who is stealing your WiFi…
1.  Use WiFi Signal Booster Apps
Searching “WiFi signal booster” in Google Play Store, the first one is the WiFi Master – Speed Test & Booster. The most of reviews of this app are best network speed test tools and WiFi signal booster apps. WiFi Master – Speed Test serves a lot of purposes. It allows you to monitor your network speed, security, and usage. Whether you’re looking to browse the Internet a little faster or closely monitor how you spend your 4G data, WiFi Master will help you do it. Outside of those uses, this app will also help you monitor CPU and memory usage, as well as easily convert your Android smartphone into a portable wireless Internet hotspot. Although there are plenty of Android apps out there that serve a similar purpose, I think that WiFi Master is one of the few of them that bundles all of those utilities together.
2.  Increasing Speed by Improving Hardware
Use an Ethernet cable in place of wireless Internet. Wi-fi is super convenient, and it might be the way to go for your handheld devices, like your phone or tablet. But some studies indicate that by using wireless Internet, you could be reducing your speed as much as 30%. Apart that, you can upgrade your router. Older routers could suffer from outdated components that might be limiting your access to the data for which you're paying. Routers range from the ultra-expensive to the bare-bones basic, which could range in cost from $20 to over $10,000. For most home users, a router in the $20 to $50 dollar range should be sufficient for your Internet needs.
3.  Reboot your modem and router frequently
Many modems are provided by your ISP for a small monthly rental fee, but rental fees stack up and sometimes the modem you are renting is less than optimal. Do an Internet search of which modem will work best with your Internet connection, and if you find the one provided to be lacking, upgrade to a newer model. Running technology for long periods of time can create a backlog of errors, recorded files, updates, and it can put strain on it from the constant usage. Though this isn't guaranteed to improve your Internet speed, resetting your router and modem weekly can have a noticeable improve Internet speed.
4.  Block all Network Using Devices except Yourself
If several users in your household are using the Internet at the same time, the max Internet speed being provided to you will be divided among the devices. Even if you aren't directly using your phone or tablet, leaving those devices on and connected to the Internet can steal precious bandwidth from you, slowing down your speed. You can use WiFi Master’s WiFi Monitor feature to check who is stealing your WiFi and block them immediately.
If you don’t want to cost plenty of time to figure out the ways useful for boosting your WiFi speed, using WiFi apps is a great choice. Among thousands of apps in Google Play Store, I prefer to suggest you that take a look into WiFi Master – Speed Test & Booster. I’m not suggesting that this app is going to take your 10 mbps connection and turn it into a 50 mbps connection, but it will definitely help you stretch your bandwidth and data just that much farther.

How to hide your sexy photos from curious eyes?
According to an official survey, a number of high school students who claim that they having using private apps to hide some sensitive information. Hiding sexts was been taken as a normal thing happening among young people over all the country.
Tumblr media
With the growth in mobile device, the increase proportion of lover in different places as well as the social media springing up, solitary people start to eliminate loneliness by making sexts with their lovers or even sending dirty talks to strangers from social media.  What will you do after sending sexy photos to your lover? You better delete them as soon as possible. Because if you keep them in your phone, then there will a great risk for you to expose your secrets to the people around you. Otherwise, you can choose to use applock to hide your most private photos. The Google Play store and Apple store offer thousands of apps that act as an extra layer of security for your Devices.
Just like your computer, your phone needs protection from curious eyes. Check out the mobile security and app lock apps available for mobile devices. There is a range of free and paid apps to choose from, and the first one in online security I think, is Private Zone.
1.  Private Zone
Private Zone protects your sexy pics and videos by hiding them into a secret album, and you can even set up additional layers of security with passcodes on individual folders within this app.
The app also offers next-level security features like a break-in alert that secretly takes a photo and records when someone trying to enter your phone with a wrong password. Another highlight of this app is its private browsing feature, if you want to browse something sensitive, you’d better browse under the private browser mode. Moreover, I have a chance to test those next-level features out to confirm that they didn’t work as advertised, if you're really paranoid, it might be worth your while to check it out.
Tumblr media
 2. Privacy Lock
Comparing with Private Zone, this app is a relatively light one. Its main feature is the Applock. The different thing is that this app just lock your system gallery rather than creating a new private album letting you hide your sexy photos into it. But the advantage of this app is light. It’s a very convenient and light one allows you to save your phone’s storage. If some borrow your phone, you won’t afraid of snoopers or curious eyes snooping on your gallery. Security features include photo capture and GPS tags of intruders after four login attempts. When you're alone and ready to kick back and enjoy your sexy content on the big screen, you can stream the pics and videos straight to your Apple TV via Airplay.
 3.  Vault
Vault offers photo and video editing capabilities within its secret folders along with the standard PIN-protection for multiple Vaults and a Mugshot feature that catches snoopers red-handed.The app also provides a free automatic online backup of your Vaults in case you lose your phone. It's not clear how exactly the files are protected in the cloud, but at least you'll be able to recover all your sensitive materials if you lose them. But if you are a perfectionist, you’d better forget this one causing its advertisement on the lock screen.
 4.  Gallery Vault
Gallery Vault takes your sexy image hiding tools to the next level — along with the standard passcode protections, the app can hide itself on your phone's home screen and encrypts all of your sensitive data. But there is a risk for this feature, I couldn’t find the entrance of this app after hiding it on my phone. In the next few days, I still cannot find it back. So I think there is great chance for others doing this way.

If you have more ideas and more private protection apps to recommend, please leave us your comments.

How to see saved WiFi passwords on Android and iOS?
Most of people may have suffered this situation: sometimes when you go to some of your places accompanied by your friends who might need your WiFi passwords, but you had forgot or struggled hard to find the saved WiFi password on your Android or iOS device. If you cannot see the contents of data folder without rooting the device, here we are going to provide some simple and straight processes helping you to find your saved WiFi passwords on your phone. By doing these ways, you do not need to “root” or “jailbreak” the phone.
There are two solutions for you to choose: using apps or not using any apps. Most of cases, I suggest you to use apps, there are too many relevant WiFi apps in Google Play Store or Apple Store for your choose. This article aims to help you to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of these methods letting you choose the most suitable one for your own self.
Solution 1: See saved WiFi passwords without Using Any App
1.  First of all, turn on the WiFi your phone. Enter the password as you know it and phone gets connected to the web.
When you get the correct password, launch a note taking software or memo on your phone. Type the name of your WiFi data connection on the left, followed by a hyphen and then the password. Each time when you get connected to a new connection, Jot down the credential in the same place.
From now, whenever you can’t recollect the password of a particular WiFi connection, open that already prepared data to figure out.
 2.  Find the file name WPA_supplicant.conf
If you are using Android devices, then all the WiFi passwords would be in a file named WPA_supplicant.conf. So viewing the file means viewing the passwords. This is a simple text file can be opened with any text viewer or html viewer on Android phone.
How to find the saved password file location?
Tumblr media
 Path → /data/misc/wifi/WPA_supplicant.conf
How to access this file?
If you have rooted phone, simply navigate to given folder using any file manager. If you have non rooted phone, use App named WPA network speed test.
Solution 2: Find WiFi password by using WiFi apps
1.  Install WiFi Master- Speed Test & Booster App on your Android from Google Play Store. Open up WiFi Master that you’ve downloaded on your Android device.
Step1: Tap the WiFi Monitor feature, and check who is using your WiFi and if you want to add another device, with this feature you can operate or delete the current devices in your WiFi.
Tumblr media
 2. If your purpose is to add your friends in your hotpots, then tap on the Personal Hotspot. This feature lets you rename your WiFi name and Upload photos as your profile. Most importantly, you can create a password. By doing this way, you can recreate a temporary password for your phone.
Tumblr media
Most of the cases, you may forget your WiFi network password on your long-time used Android or iOS as you’ve saved a huge number of different WiFi networks on your device. It is highly convenient to connect to all these networks automatically. If it is a laptop or a PC, it is easy to find out the saved password. It is pretty much arduous to view your saved WiFi password on your Android or iOS device. Probably, you’re stuck with your Android phone to browse the web. Here is a complete tutorial that helps you on how to find out WiFi password on your Android or iOS device. However, even after knowing so many useful methods to view your WiFi hotpots, it’s better for you to memory your WiFi password.

How to Boost Your WiFi Speed While Playing Games?
Slow WiFi constantly draw those who are playing games or watching videos with their phone into crazy. There are few things more frustrating than experiencing a bad slow WiFi connection, especially when you are doing something important. If you are plagued by a bad WiFi signal, slow connection as well as other WiFi signal problems, and want to know how fast of your WiFi. Here are 10 ways you can do to run speed test and boost your WiFi signal in your home.
Tumblr media
1. Change the Router Position
Most people know the importance of picking a good spot for a WiFi router. Even a small change of your router’s location could be end up with a great difference. There are many network speed test tools in Google Play Store, which allows you to conduct speed test for your WiFi connection. Among them, WiFi Master is the best I think, because you can find the suitable place with the strongest signal.
2. Boost the WiFi Signal Strength
If you have a problem getting WiFi signals in every corner of your house, maybe you should consider installing a booster app. To increase the signal strength, you should increase the router’s transmit power and also disable both frame burst and afterburner. Search “Network Speed Test” and “WiFi Booster” app in Google Play Store, the first one is the WiFi Master – Speed Test & Booster. It’s a free app that can help you detect the presence and strength of wireless networks. Snooping in the Name of Love
It is reported that more than half of people have snooped on their partner’s phone. Nothing is more attractive than snooping though other’s little secrets. In fact, even if your partner is upright and loyal enough, there is still a great chance to find out something unpleasant.
Your boyfriend/girlfriend is taking shower and you are lying on the sofa. His phone is placed on the sofa next you. You know his pin and messaging apps’ password. Just take a look see if he is cheating on you or flirting with other girls? What will you do? Snoop on his phone or give him 100% trust?
I made a survey on Facebook and collected a lot of feedbacks from friends and family. More than half of them choose to look at their partner’s phone and some of them admitted that they have been doing so for a very long time. Here I must admit that I’ve looked through my boyfriend’s phone in the past. Curiosity likes an itch under your skin, and it always distracts your attention and pushes you to snoop on your partner’s privacy under the name of love.
Snooping in the Name of Love
In an emotional video issued by Kourtney Jorge on Twitter, she had a face-to-face talk with her ex-boyfriend about his infidelity and emotional abuse that ultimately led to their separation. When Leonard found out Kourtney broke into his emails in search of evidence that he had been cheating, he was offended by the violation. They start fighting a lot. At first, he had patience to explain and make good excuses. But gradually, he became more and more impatient to make excuses which made Kourtney completely lose mind. She became a snooper. She tore through cellphone records and installed software to open encrypted apps, gathering the details she could. In her heart, she had believed in absolutely private space in a relationship. Snooping in the name of love is the way giving him more excuses to cheat on you. And hypervigilance can be controlling and push someone away.
Infidelity in the Name of Snooping
“What did you do?” Kourtney asked in this video. Leonard replied calmly “I did everything. I've had sex with other girls.” The most irritated reply is that he even can’t count how many times he cheated on her. Leonard asked why she not leave even after so many lies and hurts he brought. Kourtney responded, “Because you’re my best friend.” If someone cheated on you one time, and you forgive him. That means there are 99% opportunity for him to cheat on you again in the future, because the cheating cost is getting lower and lower for him. It’s like a snowball at first, but as time passes by it grows fast and, finally, become a big thing ruining and smashing your relationship. At the same time, the betrayer makes his greatest efforts to practice how to tell lies and how to use different kinds of snoop-proof apps to anti-break. Your relationship likes a battle where no love left.
It’s Time to Leave If Snooping is Necessary
Some people believe snooping is a necessary way to find out the truth and verify their minds. According to a report, the vast majority of the 56,000 questioned discovered infidelity by snooping on cellphones, emails or messaging app’s account, and about half of them has a separation ending. We all have this situation, and we all have to face it. Oftentimes we act out in relationships when our needs aren’t being met. But the only way to really get what you need is to ask for it! If you have doubts or questions, even there are so many WHYs in your heart almost spilling out, just say “I’m having these fears that why you always lock things in your phone?” Approach it calmly, in a non-accusatory manner. Whenever you have worries, communicate, rather than investigate. This approach is the best way to respect yourself, your partner and the relationship. If you still cannot resist the surge to spy on your partner, maybe it’s the time for you to leave and say farewell to this relationship!
