a post-canon solving dynamic I really enjoy is john pulling himself up off of solomon and interrupting a make-out sesh to ask if sol thinks that perhaps he did indeed die in the arctic and the lord has bound his soul to yours (solomon’s) as a kind of punishment forcing him to walk this earth as a shade instead of seeing the kingdom of heaven. and sol could not answer this even if all the blood wasn’t in his dick and so he just begins snogging again in the hope that it’ll distract him from being stressed out about it
