Shellington Sea Otter

Hii everyone!

I was reading online about the different types of otters, and I noticed something :

In the animated show "The Octonauts", Shellington is supposed to be a sea otter. His sister Pearl and his nephew Periwinkle eat sea urchins (Shellington doesn't because he is allergic to them), and they use the term "Sea otters" in the show. Also, Shellington and Pearl hold hands while sleeping (a behavior that is specific to sea otters) and Pearl wraps Periwinkle in kelp + he sleeps on her belly. Still, Shellington has a Scottish accent, and his fur looks a lot more like the European otter's on.

What do you think about that?

Flightless bird

Guys, you're probably going to think I'm dumb, but I just realised something about the Twilight movies soundtrack 🤦🏻‍♀️

I've always wondered why it is specified, in the soundrtrack of Breaking Dawn (Part 1), that Flightless Bird, American Mouth is the wedding version. Turns out it's because it appeared earlier in the movie series : it's the song that plays when Bella and Edward dance for the first time, at PROM. I watched the movies 5 times, and I noticed that it was Flightless Bird, American Mouth, but never linked the two in my head x)

Nonsense at the Hotel California 😅

Soo I was thinking about one of my favourite songs right now : "Hotel California" will haunt my playlist this summer. But I noticed something and it just doesn't make sense.

It is said that "She got the Mercedes Benz", and then "We are all prisoners here" and "You can check out anytime you like but you can never leave".

Why does she own a car if she can't go out of the hotel?? And admitting she got it before being a prisoner of the hotel : why didn't she tell the narrator that she doesn't use her car while showing it to him?

Perhaps it's a metaphor, it would make sense. So what do you think?

Lover

I just noticed something absolutely amazing! (don’t blame me if I didn’t see it earlier, I’m not native of English language) 

Sooo 

In the bridge “Lover” by Taylor Swift (which I already considered one of the most beautiful love songs), she literally rewrote the wedding vows!  -->

“With every guitar string scar on my hand, I take this magnetic force of a man to be my lover” it’s like when you say “I take this man to be my husband” 

Then “Swear to be over dramatic and true to my lover” is like when you swear fidelity and love and to cherish your partner for the rest of your days. So it’s literally like wedding vows, but personalized and I think it’s so so cute <3

Hamilbeth

I bought Macbeth this morning, and almost finished it already (it is quite difficult to read though even if I got it in my native language). I watched Hamilton several times and beyond the fact that Lin-Manuel Miranda is a wonderful songwritter, I discovered MacBeth and wanted to read it (as I wanted to discover Shakespeare but didn't know which play to start with).

What is your favorite Shakespeare's play? I'd really like to know which one I should read next !
