Down to the Wire
With my projects coming to a close, I learned a lot about myself along the way. Cliche as it may sound, I have had the genuine experience of pushing myself in my artistic capabilities. Seeing these projects in their somewhat final stage (my plane game is still having last minute touches) I can breath and hold my head in pride that I got exactly what I put in through the course.

Death by Coding! I say Nay
Going into this project I knew the most challenging aspect of this project was going to be coding. I took lessons on Udemy to refresh to knowledge I held from previous classes years ago. I also consulted with friends who understand coding in order to seek improvement. Although it has been challenging, and demotivating at times, with each script successfully implemented. I grew in excitement and humbled in relief. My project isn't over but I'm moving forward with positivity.

Hello everyone,
If you've never seen unity or ever wondered what game creation looks like without the art. He's an example of my Airline Cargo game. I'm currently troubleshooting as the game isn't functioning as intended. What the player sees is everything within the square. Bottom being where the white box is 'sitting' on and below the line of the white triangles, and inside of the green lines. How this game should function is the square is the player, and the player can move only left and or right. The green boxes are the boundaries to prevent the player from going off screen. These act as "colliders" because the square collides with the box, but the box is unable to move it. The triangles are actually positions for spawning objects that 'fall' into the white net. where they will be destroyed to prevent overloading the games programing with endless amounts of objects spawning. Visually speaking, when the art is installed the objects don't appear to be falling, but rather the square is moving forward, and the objects are stationary. I'm trouble shooting my objects spawning in a semi-random pattern while also recycling through their destruction of colliding with the metaphorical net.

Art it its most basic form of creating imagery via drawings, has never really been my strong suit. Honestly the suit never fit. Even so, I've been enjoying the experience of creating the over all picture of my games. My real life experience served as a muse for one of my games. I struggled to find its character, its charm, and balance. Each time I created an element I struggled to match it to the last. I started with pen and paper, then pencil and paper cause I'm a fool for using a pen. Then I transitioned to pixel art.
The process was and is long but overall my enthusiasm to see this game make it to the finish line keeps me in high spirits.

In class we spoke about time management, and I can speak from experience that it true what Sharla said. Previous students and I guarantee students right now are feeling the pressure from the level of uncertainty in their project progression.
I changed jobs from labor work during grave shift to more analytical work during the day. And moved from Kailua to Ewa. What has helped me to maintain progress on my project during this period, is small Journaling. Whether it is in the rain or walking around the shop. When I cam envision something like a function or a design, I just draw it out before putting the thought aside, and avoid forgetting it all together.
Here is my drawing of my third game. The idea came to me as I was making difficult maneuvers with a string of dollies. Weighing around 40,000 pounds on wet roads. The game functions like snake as the player would move to left or right their tail end swings with momentum. Coming into danger of colliding with objects.

Hello everyone,
Update in my project and research. I've begun my rough draft and will soon be completing it. Luckily, within these last few years there has been more research conducted in regards to the support of utilizing video games.
For my project I have begun templates and rough sketching the visual and operational structure, of 2 games. An endless runner and a bubble puzzle. Throughout this week ill be posting pictures of my rough sketch on paper to what has become digitialy and more.
