Confession. I was frustrated about not getting notes on my animations/animatics/sketches despite trying, so I decided to do a little experiment. People from “high-end” animation schools get clout in some way, shape, or form, whether good or bad. So I put that I went to CalArts in my bio. Almost a week later, almost all my shit is doing numbers. However. There’s a small problem. People who are ACTUALLY at CalArts are messaging me trying to connect and asking questions - and I’ve been bluffing but, honestly, don’t think I can keep this up for much longer. Idk what to do 🤷‍♂️

Isnt Morophon from Lorwyn? i was under the assumption  that most Changelings were from Lorwyn

Hey Mark. I know a return to Lorwyn is unlikely, but can we get some more flavor stuff from the plane? We've had some mechanical references, but many of them are clearly not flavored as Lorwyn. The last legendary creature from Lorwyn came out in Magic Origins and the plane doesn't even have a planeswalker. To compare, Kamigawa has had multiple new legendary creatures and multiple printings of Tamiyo. The closest thing I could find were the elemental kin from M20, but I don't know if they count.

c) the power level is too high. I m broke, i cant afford the need, the desire to keep acquiring new cards!

Mark, people seem very worried about the power level of recent sets in comparison with previous times. Is Wizards acknowledging this and making an effort to tone down future sets on this regard?

About a year ago, we made a conscious effort to raise up the power level of current sets as it had drifted downwards for a number of years (and players had complained about it). It’s not currently higher than it’s been at past times of Magic’s life.

So, I guess I’ll ask, what is all your opinion of Magic’s current power level for Standard-legal sets? Is it:

a) too low - you’d like to see us make Standard-legal sets more powerful

b) just right - you’d like to see us keep Standard-legal sets at the power level they currently are

c) too high - you’d like to see us make Standard-legal sets less powerful

Choose a), b), or c) and explain why.

Is there a reason Narset was chosen for the third planeswalker on Ikoria rather then Huatli who would love the Dinosaurs of the world?

Yes, we wanted a wedge Planeswalker, of a color combination we hadn’t done yet.

Mark, I recently answered a poll on your twitter that I did NOT like the Godzilla crossover. I want to let you know that I love the idea of Magic crossing over with pop culture, I'm just not a fan when the crossover is about nuclear disaster monsters, space invasions, and other modern elements. I look forward to the day when magic crosses over with other fantasy related IPs!

Just curious, do others feel Godzilla and friends aren’t fantasy enough?
