Hello, you once posited that an EMP would be useful in destroying a quinque's electronics. However, you said the typical range would be 1 meter. However, what if the range could be amplified. In another animated series I watched, a character used an EMP hooked up to a generator to disable a handful of nearby mechanical suits. This reminded me of how in chapter 170 how Renji amplified his electricity with a lightning rod. Could an EMP be magnified with extra power or conductive materials?

I’d assume so but outside of the DIY stuff I’ve seen online, I’m not sure by how much or how effectively. The US military, for example, supposedly has been using EMP missiles for a while now to reduce collateral damage to strike targets, though it’s in the testing/prototype stage. EMPs being able to be produced larger than the ones you can find online are objectively possible, but are there factors that I don’t understand that play into how large and how effective they can be while being man portable? Definitely.

So I feel like the answer s “yes” but with the caveat that I’m ignorant on the exact mechanics and engineering involved. Given that TG has super materials in the form of Q steel with unknown properties, and bio-organic lightning/concussive blast weapons like Narukami and Higher MInd, it’s not a stretch that an EMP quinque or kagune could be made imo. But I think it comes down to state actors vs non-state actors. An EMP weapon seems like it would be something that the world militaries would employ, but the CCG is a worldwide organization and there are a few indications that the militaries are subservient to them. Which makes sense if you consider the most logical reason for the military and CCG to clash would be V, and substantial chunks of the lore are linked to the Underground KIng’s rebellion, which happened during/after the world wars(s).
