I like to think that Scotland also has its version of "The sacred 28", and that the Sallows are one of those families. If the devs ever confirm Sebastian is indeed a pureblood, that would be an explanation for why the Sallow name wasn't among the British sacred 28 and why it was never even mentioned in the books.

I'm just so glad that HL wasn't set in the same timeline as the Harry Potter series. Like, can you imagine how horrible it would be for Ominis if he was around during the Chamber of Secrets? Everyone would (logically) blame him and say he freed the monster just because of his family name, and Dumbledore would be probably left with no choice but to expell him or even FORCE HIM to find the Basilisk, since he speaks parseltongue and can't be killed due to his blindness. Sebastian is a walking red flag but we all know that if he was the one cursed by Rookwood instead of Anne, he would become the colour red ITSELF. I bet that during the pensieve scene he'd be like: "Please MC talk to the Keepers, you don't want me to die, do you? 🥺". I'm sorry, I love him too guys, but I'm 100% sure he'd use the dying card to manipulate MC even more.
