what would your muse be willing to sacrifice to achieve their goals?

His status as a powerful Wizard's assistant/job as one if it meant the characters/people in the stories were able to not have a pre-decided fate and lives that differ than what has been set for them. Basically his own chance at becoming more in control of powerful magic like the Wizard himself is and a great wizard himself if it meant destiny could go beyond the basic by the book rules he is so distained with.

are there any morals your muse learned in childhood that they disagree with / no longer live by?

Not necessarily in childhood, but there was a time that he felt step-parents or adopted ones were lesser by default because of what most fairy tales he had seen time again had told him, and generally couldn't recall having ever met a nice one. I mean, the tales were usually always correct, weren't they? Until he decided to twist the story of Hansel and Gretel a bit in which Hansel and Gretel's biological parents are the neglectful and poor ones and the Witch takes it upon herself to adopt them after she forms a bond with the kids and later finds out what their parents are like. Now that was a twist that Mambo learned something from after seeing how much she generally came to love them.

There was also a time where he felt that simple village folk or non-royals weren't on the same level as royalty in terms of worth because of how often he had spent time around the former rather than the latter or observed them being in the top tower room of a royal palace, until he met Rick and decided to venture out beyond the palace to get a glimpse of how peasants lived their lives with their own cultures and goals as well. It made him more convinced of the belief he has always had that fate or simple scales shouldn't determine people's paths in lives, and that they should go out and set their own paths while following their own dreams.

Az-Kazan was the one to give Bruce the scar across his snout and cheek. Doing so was an act of mercy in the fighting pit. If Az-Kazan hadn’t made defeating the young wild Olog into a spectacle to please the onlookers, a young Bruce would have been killed outright.

Two hands suddenly clamped around his torso, fingers wiggling underneath his arms.

'Hey what the heck are ya-he. ha. Ok, quit it.'

He tried to swap the hands away, but they were larger and much more powerfulbit than his own tiny ones and wrist, continuing to move around his sides and belly.

'haha. nope-not ticklish. One little-hahaha-bit.' He tried to proclaim uselessly between chuckles while trying to shoe the hands off him at the same time. It wasn't long before he fell to the ground, helplessly squirming underneath hands now wriggling under his arms, behind his ears, and all over his sides.

'Okaaay. Hahahaha. Maybe a little-hahahah-eensy weensy bit. C-c---haahaaa-you lay off m-me now? Hahahaha. Munk sees this I'll never-hahahahahaaaaaa-hear the end of it! hahahahahaaaaa-Let me go!'

Unfortunately, Mambo didn't have much of a childhood. Nor childhood toys. Not knowing who his family was or where he came from, or even what he was, he was always tossed around from one place in the kingdom to another for work filled with verbal abuse before landing a position with a wizard after a king dumped him from court jester due to his big mouth and unfocused, energetic, goofy, rebellious spirit. He does, however sleep with an old teddy bear in the top tower room which he does in secret so not to interfere with the 'cool guy' personality he puts on. He probably got attached to the teddy due to not having any personal toys of his own in childhood. It is sort of like what he was missing growing up.

December the 1st during the first snowfall of that year. My own birthday is in December on the 19th and I adore when it snows on my birthday, and always thought Mambo came off as a Sagittarius like me, especially with him influencing a lot about me as a kid. I just figured him being born at the start of my special month was fitting. Plus, I always watch the film on my birthday as a treat to myself.

💙  = Who does your muse have a deep and loyal love for?

He won't openly admit it, but Munk who is all he had for the longest time even with their clashing personalities and bickering. He always has Munk's back whenever anyone else threatens him or picks on him, with a personal rule that 'nobody messes with Munk except me'. He also has a soft spot for Ella after getting to know her as a person and not another fairy tale character, first shown where he is concerned about her feelings when he and Munk are explaining to her about her story with him encouraging her to go after what she wants and not what has been set up for her.

🔒  = What is a secret that your muse will take to the grave? Why have they decided not to tell anyone

There was a day where the room had a basket full of yarn balls for quilting or repairs the wizard was doing, and Mambo's curios cat like instincts he tries to hide got the better of him, leading to him playing around and getting tangled in them, needing Munk to help him out of it. Munk still uses it as kind of blackmail to get Mambo to do his chores to this day. He doesn't dare it to leave the top tower room because of how embarrassing the scenario was. There was that and Munk accidentally walking in on him finishing up a bath. Needless to say, he grabbed a towel immediately while still fluffy and they both agree to not bring that up for as long as they are able to live.

📘  = Describe an AU verse/story that you have written out for your muse that you’d love to roleplay. Why did you choose to make them that way?

I did do an angst drawing based on an ide of an AU of Frieda having her way where he ends up a prisoner which started from a random whump drawing and lead to that because hey I love my guy but like to imagine scenarios where he is hurt like that, but I was thinking of a couple others. One of a villain sidekick/bumbling henchmen au with him and Munk to a villainous character like Hades or any other fairy tale villain, and another of a modern lab animal/creature au. The former I like because it is fun to imagine the possibilities of the two of them being evil minions while retaining their goofy clashing personalities ala Pain and Panic rather than good sidekicks, and the latter because more whump or angst potential with the idea that Mambo would be seen as an odd specimen or animal worthy of study if he was seen today with the modern sciences and labs used now.

Also, I love the idea that the film Hoodwinked is the result of Mambo messing with the story of Little Red Riding Hood and would love to write a whole au plot of him and Munk being alongside those characters.

💔  = When is a time your muse was heart-broken? Was it someone else’s fault or your muse’s? What did they do to get over it?

There was a time where Munk was stressed out with a day's work of chores and snapped at Mambo's trouble causing shenanigans which lead to the mess in the first place as well as his messing around with powerful magic from the staff. He ended up yelling at Mambo if there was anything he could do right instead of making the lives of everyone else around him worse and to just get out of his sight which got to Mambo deeply. So much he had no sarcastic comment in response. This was a mix of both their faults. Mambo shouldn't have been callously messing around with powerful magic, but Munk shouldn't have taken his anger that far though his feelings were valid. Mambo ended up leaving to go for a walk on his own before even thinking or returning to the castle. Munk did later go out to look for him after he didn't come back for a while and I would like to think this is the scenario which leads to that other injury one I have been thinking about.

He will often sleep curled up on his side in a similar position to an actual cat, he enjoys sleeping in his beanbag chair seen in the film as well, often with a fluffy pillow and fuzzy blanket. He doesn't like anyone else knowing this as it upsets his 'cool guy' persona, but he likes cuddling with the old teddy bear laying in the top tower room.
