Coding/ python - 15/01/2025

Okay so i haven’t really been actively involved with coding quite a lot so i have searched up projects to complete on python so i can get back to it and i’m going to put the links of the ones that i find most interesting and they actually explain how to do it. In the meantime i also need to keep following this like 4 hours tutorials on the basic things. It’s interesting i just need to get back on the flow of doing it.

I think I kind of have a problem with hobbies becasue I want to do (or at least try) everything, I want to try doing stained glass, pottery, crochet, making my own clothes, I want to learn calligraphy and how to code and make my own website, I want to design stickers, pins and shirts. I want to live. And I don't have any idea on how to do any of those things.

WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? - Billie Eilish

I like this album, and have found myself coming back to it several times over the last few months. Billie has probably become my favorite pop artist (although to be honest, I listen to very little pop), and the songs on this album are a lot of the reason. I honestly don't understand Bad Guy being the highlight of the record, with my favorites being Xanny and You Should See Me in a Crown. I just don't see it being significantly better than every song on the album to warrant it overshadowing the rest. Another thing I've noticed is how much I enjoy the vocals and the vocal effects! This is probably a big chunk of why Xanny is one of my favorites; those vocal effects are just sooo good. Apart from that, there's not terribly much else that stands out about this record to me, and honestly as you progress farther through it does somewhat lose the intrigue. songs 11-14 just aren't terribly memorable to me, and definitely aren't what I listen to the album for (if I have a particular song in mind). Overall good, but definitely not great.

it really depends on circumstances, i don't enjoy outdoorsy activities much for example but camping with some friends? building a little cozy fire? count me in

my interests tend to shift around a bit too but if you wanted me to pick it would probably be between reading and listening to music. reading because it's reading? you know why reading is good and it's really broad cmon and music helps me process my emotions

18/12/2024 - Composing

For school i need to make a free composition and a composition to a brief, which i’ve chosen to do it on film music.

So far for my free composition this is what i have and i can’t lie it’s like very very very near to be finished. If anyone has like specifics or ideas or improvements, i’m open to hearing them and seeing if they work. Anyway, this is Bossa Nova Who by me (first part)

14/12/2024 - Acoustic Guitar

I’ve decided to get back into playing my guitar by starting off on learning how to play Cherry Wine by hozier. I’ve also found the complete tabs on the internet so whoever wishes to learn it as well i’ll post it here. The hammer one and pull offs are a pain to get right but iv got the hang of the first like intro part and then it’s repetition i’m just trying to make it flow. Whenever i’ve got it down i’ll post it as a milestone :)

7/12/2024 - ice hockey/ice skating

Hellooo. So i ended up realising that i will have to train with the 18+ mixed team rather than a private team because they train on Fridays and i have work on Fridays. So i ended up singing up to the learn to play program with the 18+ and then i heard that they were setting up a 3v3 half ice tournament where each match was 8 minutes, subs whenever with teams of 4s and a break of 2 minutes in between. I can’t lie i was stressing before showing up but i’m so glad that i did because it was so fun and everyone there was genuinely really nice.

I learnt the real deal with matches and how they work on the ice. Even if it wasn’t a 5v5 with specific rules i understood how a drop works and where to stand and what players to tag. It is a bit like football but 10x harder and more chaotic and quicker. Loved it though.I got the hang of it a bit after the first match but it was still hard. I ALSO SCOREDDD. It might have been a fluke but look you have to start somewhere right

No but i really enjoyed myself. Our team where called the Nordiques and we got second out of 7 other teams so i would say it was a pretty good success:)
