Hey, the ACLU is getting people to send letters to your Reps to have Congress pass the No Kings Act.
This act would make constitutional amendments to ensure that even sitting presidents are held liable for their actions. That NOBODY is above the law.
Their goal is 150k messages sent and at the time of writing this they're about 2.1k off from that goal!
ACLU gives you a prefilled message that you can edit to send to make the process easier, and will send it out for you.
This only takes a few minutes!

Guys, stop being crap to creators. You aren’t hurting Amazon. You’re stealing from writers.

Female Character: *Everybody is immediately drawn to her for no discernible reason*
Female Character: *Extremely powerful compared to all of the other characters within the story; there’s no reason as to how she became so powerful*
Female Character: *For some reason is able to quickly pick up new skills in a period of time comparable to a genius; no explanation for this too.*
Female Character: *has virtually no weaknesses except she’s clumsy teehee :)*
Person: Isn’t this kind of a mary-sue?
Tumblr: why do misogynists like to invalidate strong female characters???????????

Good morning, everyone! With Pride Month coming to an end, I realized I haven’t really done any #pridestack and I wanted to fix that! I decided to focus on nonfiction for my stack as most of the Pride recs I see are for fiction. I don’t talk about it often but I’m getting a degree in Gender and Sexuality Studies, so most of the nonfiction I own is because of my classes. I’ve read all of the books pictured for various classes and would absolutely recommend all of them! Some of the authors are also my professors, making me extraordinarily lucky to be in the program I am! I would never have heard about the majority of these books without the recommendation of my instructors and classmates over the years, so I wanted to give them some love and hopefully, inspire new folks to pick them up! A few of these also contains poetry or different types of storytelling, as well, if that’s your thing ☺️ Pictured in above stack: -This Bridge Called My Back edited by Gloria Anzaldúa and Cherríe L. Moraga -Exile Heart by Kim Shuck -The Remedy: Queer and Trans Voices on Health and Healthcare edited by Zena Sharman -IRL by Tommy Pico -Bad Indians by Deborah A. Miranda -Subject to Change: Trans Poetry and Conversation edited by H. Melt -Sister Outsider by Audre Lorde -Queer and Trans Artists of Color Vol. 2 edited by Nia King -Asian American Feminisms and Women of Color Politics by Lynn Fujiwara and Shireen Roshanvaran -Girl of New Zealand by Michelle Erai -Sovereign Erotics edited by Qwo-Li Driskill, et al. -Queer Indigenous Studies edited by Qwo-Li Driskill, et al. -Water/Tongue by Mai C. Doan Let me know! Have you read or heard of any of these? Any spark your interest? #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #pridemonth #pride #queerbooks #queernonfiction #nonfiction #nonfictionbooks #queeracademia #queeracademic (at Corvallis, Oregon) https://www.instagram.com/p/CfWqcaxrvBv/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Hello! I’ve set myself a challenge for the rest of June and that is to read one story from Volume 5 of the Heart2Heart Anthology collection everyday for the rest of the month! 15 authors, 15 stories, 15 days. I’ve been super intimidated by this collection since I got it a few months ago because it’s 800 pages! But what better time to give it a go than Pride Month? There’s a few authors I know and love and a whole bunch I’ve never read from before so I’m really excited to dive into this collection! I’ll be giving each story an individual rating and then averaging them for my overall rating at the end. Keep an eye out for those in my stories everyday! Are you reading anything special for Pride Month? Tell me in the comments! #queerbookstagram #queerbooks #queeranthology #heart2heartvolume5 #mmromance #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #queerbookstagrammer #achilleanromance #anthology #romance #romancebooks #pridemonth (at Corvallis, Oregon) https://www.instagram.com/p/CetzDpRP0KF/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Hello! I’m almost done my buddy read of Let Me In by @rmvirtues with @queerlyreading and I’m really loving it so far! I plan to finish it today during my commute home and I’m so excited to see how everything wraps up. This is a guaranteed five stars once I finish! Dio and Athena have such amazing chemistry both in and out of the bedroom, re-affirming my stance on friends-to-lovers being an amazing dynamic. I’ve definitely been taking my time with this one, compared to how I flew through the first two, but that’s entirely the formatting rather than the book itself. My brain has a hard time processing the amount of empty space in these pages, but I love reading these books physically too much to switch formats! I have to be able to tab and annotate! Do you use tabs or annotate your physical books? What method do you prefer? #godsofhunger #godsofhungerseries #letmeinrmvirtues #buddyread #annotatedbooks #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #fivestarread https://www.instagram.com/p/Cd_rR_yvvLD/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Hello! How has your weekend been? I had a nice relaxing Sunday at the park this afternoon with a few books and a friend. I read Squad by Maggie Tokugawa-Hall in one sitting and it was a fun read! I also made some progress in my book club book, The Shadow of the Wind. Everyone’s really liking it so far, which is great since it was my turn to pick! #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #shadowofthewind #burningroses #squad #sundayreading (at Corvallis, Oregon) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cd4nZjFrScR/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
