Grief isn’t something you forget or “get over”; it’s something you either grow strong enough to carry or let break you.

Sometimes I'll be doing the most mundane thing and draft the most poetic arrangements of words in my head- then forget to write it down. I hate it here.

Conviction makes all the difference when you set out to accomplish a goal. There's worlds between playing in the dirt and planting a forest.

When you're young, you think you're invincible. It's only with the passing of time that you realize just how vulnerable we truly are. You begin to feel time move faster. The older people in your life start dropping like flies—gone from existence, leaving behind nothing but tombstones and memories. Sometimes you can still hear the echoes of their voices in your head.
When you were young, every moment felt like a small eternity. Now, the years blur together into one indistinct rush. You start to wonder, "What have I really done with my life?" You second-guess every choice you've ever made. Before you know it, you're at the end of your journey with nothing to show for it.
Don’t blink and miss it. Cherish every day. Do the things that matter to you. This life is yours—it belongs to you and only you. It is precious. Please, don’t waste it.

I absolutely despise jeans- such an uncomfortable article of clothing. However, I do keep a few pairs around because my cat likes to sleep on them for whatever reason.

To me, writing feels like taking a knife and spilling my guts onto a page. I want my words to be felt in your bones, your skin to crawl, your heart to flutter, your blood to curdle, your thoughts provoked, my words stained into your memories. A true orchestra of raw feeling and emotion— and I'm the conductor.

All I want to do is behold you, All your love I need, You choke me til' I'm deep blue, Tell me when I deserve to breathe, My absolute muse, I’ll be breathless for eternity,

The funny thing about living on the same coast as someone is that if you call them early in the morning, you can watch the same sunrise together.

Do you ever stay up late mourning the death of friendships that turned toxic over the years. It feels like you know some people forever and you still see them as the same dumb kids they used to be, but in reality they've grown into something disgusting and uncomfortable to be around. It's a damn shame.

Your twenties are a tumultuous time—especially with everything happening right now. There’s so much chaos and confusion that it’s hard not to get bogged down and lose sight of the bigger picture.
I know it can feel hopeless at times, like there’s very little we can do to fix our situations. But if we wake up each day and try our damn best, little by little we can chip away at the mountain of problems stacked against us.
That being said—good morning, and may your day be a productive one.

Her ashen eyes hum a mellifluous melody; Like a siren, they draw you in with a luminous gaze. Eyes that speak in proper soliloquies— May the aurora in her irises light your days. Powerful yet gentle, her soft expression; Kind yet fierce, they'll mend your depression.

As an adult I like to surround myself with cozy soft things because as a child I only knew abuse and chaos. I think the best moments in my life are when I'm cuddled up in bed with my cat and freshly washed sheets. The smell of fresh fabric softener and a fuzzy blanket really makes it feel like the safest place in the world.

We try to take people for what they are at face value. However, an apple doesn't display its worms for all to see. Trust your senses- if it smells and tastes rotten, your body is warning you of the danger. Avoid bad apples, cull the rot from your life and live healthily.

The crescent moon’s light shines dim, but she illuminates the night sky regardless. Persevering with her hindered potential she floats adrift in her hollowness.
As weak as she shines she will find herself full again and so will you.

I need autumn to come quicker so I can wear the cool parts of my wardrobe. Things with excessive amount of zippers, jackets, cardigans, layers. Summer clothing is so boring.
