Make someone's day brighter by writing cute phrases on sticky notes and leaving them in public places ie bathrooms, car windows, books, elevators, etc. You are worth loving just because of who you are!

A Closer Look at Undaunted
*Both of these books deal with genocide still going on TODAY. They really opened my eyes at how far we still have to go and all I have to be grateful for.

Oh how I miss teaching English in China. <3 if you want to read about my experiences there go to www.whereintheworldischambrey.wordpress.com. And if you're interested in teaching English in China visit China Horizons. They have a great program for a great price.

In 2001 (it is difficult to conduct poverty headcounts on a regular basis because of the immensity of the undertaking), 2.7 billion people were living on less than $2 a day, and 1.1 billion people were living on under $1 a day. There are 7 billion people in the world and over 38% of the world's population lives on less than $2 a day. This $2 is not the exchange rate of USD$2 to their currency. This is the equivalent amount of what you can buy with USD$2. That is almost 2 things off the dollar menu per day not including where you sleep or what you wear.
Think about how much good it could do if everyone donated a dollar a day to those in need!

posters-for-good:
If you have food in your fridge, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of the world.
If you have money in the bank, your wallet, and some spare change you are among the top 8% of the wordl’s wealthy.
If you woke up this morning with more health than illness you are more blessed than the million people who will not survive this week.
If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the agony of imprisonment or torture, or the horrible pangs of starvation vou are luckier than 500 million people alive and suffering.
If you can read this message you are more fortunate than 3 billion people in the world who cannot read it at all.

Movember: No Shave November
Help raise awareness for prostate cancer by not shaving during the month of November. Can girls do this too? Of course! Why not help the cause? It's cold outside anyways :)

Tomorrow at 11 a.m. Secretary Clinton will be delivering remarks on HIV/AIDS. We hope the ‘positive announcement’ she makes is that more people will be put on treatment to #reverseAIDS. New scientific evidence shows that treatment is also a form of prevention, as it reduces the risk of transmission of HIV from one person to another by 96 percent.

"I am a princess, all girls are. Even if they live in tiny old attics, even if they dress in rags, even if they aren't pretty, or smart, or young. They're still princesses. All of us. Didn't your Father ever tell you that? Didn't he?" -A Little Princess Movie
