Hi it’s me your local bitchboy. First off: if you don’t want someone from the ks fandom to interact with you don’t hang around the ks fandom. Second: it dosen’t matter if you tag it as killing stalking or if you are just talking about it casually because it will still show up in the tags. Suprise suprise bet you didn’t know that
Also, saying that the same exact thing happened to you? Do you by that mean that you also stalked your crush, broke in to his house only to have him beat you with a baseball bat and torture you? Because otherwise your wording is pretty bad in this case.

being a gay man in gay ship fandom I'm just sitting here watching anti drama like: ninety percent of y'all are fujoshi yelling at other fujoshi for being fujoshi. get a grip and just watch your fucking porn, karen. stop acting high and mighty because you jerk off to something you think is more soft and pure than other peoples' jerk off material. christ. do these people even have fun or are they just here to revel in misery?
I’m screaming, this anon just dragged all the antis with the hardcore truth
A+ statement anon, thank you

When I say that fujoshi means a female fan of m x m fiction and nothing more, I’m being purposefully reductivist. I wish I could have a proper, nuanced discussion about the word, how it implies a potential to queer-read any non-queer media, someone who has the ability to see past what may be a facade of straight-acting characters and no-homo claims and say “Yes, these two male characters could potentially be lovers,” or even “this one male character could be gay or bi or pan etc.”
And how *queer-reading* is what is seen as ruined/rotten by straight men. Because by seeing Joseph Joestar or Vegeta or whoever as bisexual, you’re “ruining” the fandom for them. Because they think male characters can only be cis and straight. (and if they *are* gay, they have to be a stereotype side character) How they think queer transformative fandom “ruins” the series for the intended cis straight male audience, hence the ruin/rotten/ferment character in fujoshi.
But I can’t really talk about that stuff when you are still arguing over the etymology of the word itself.

I suppose tagging it as “yaoi“ would be a bit misleading imo, since i’m pretty sure most people who search in that tag are looking for more explicit works.
I don’t think it’s offensive as long as it’s an anime/manga pairing , but yeah i have to agree that it is a bit outdated probably because you don’t even have to use it on ao3 at all.
I need comments thoughts on this, when is it acceptable to tag something as yaoi? I write FF for non-canon pairings and someone was telling me I need to tag is as yaoi since it’s bxb love but the characters are on the ace/aro spectrum and aren’t having sex in my stories. Do I need to tag yaoi just because it’s bxb? I don’t feel like I need to considering the pairing name is in the tag.
Excellent question, but I don’t know the answer.
Does the yaoi tag apply to just romance, or is it strictly for sex? Discuss.

What a good day  to remember that if someone ships something that seems fucked up to you, that doesn’t necessarily mean they are doing it because they believe it’s a good dynamic that should be imitated in real life and that only having ~pure~ ships doesn’t make you better than anyone else.

It’s amazing minors scream about tumblr being a “ kids space”  yet tumblr app literally states you must be 17+. Sure the pc versions allows 13+  along with agreeing the terms and conditions no doubt warning you there’s “ sensitive material”  If you’re not mature enough to handle what you don’t like to see aka “ safe mode, blacklist, block” then get off tumblr go find somewhere else.
Also if you a minor that happen find porn common sense says block said porn avoide tag etc. Not stalk this 18+blog for 18+ viewers only to complain more about seeing said porn
Y’all act so stupid sometimes I swear. Jc did your parents not teach you proper internet etiquette or common sense in general. Because if they saw how immature you are on a site for mature people

anti-fujoshi: ummmm how is being anti-fujoshi misogynistic???? idgi!!
pro-fujoshi: *give long and detailed explanations of the cultural and historical context of the term ‘fujoshi’, the history of women’s interaction with and creation of BL manga, the reasons even hetero women often feel drawn to BL instead of m/f porn, and the problematic issues surrounding men - including gay men - trying to dictate the limitations of women’s sexual exploration*
anti-fujoshi: *plugging ears* LALALALALALALA I CAN’T HEAR YOU

I think a lot of people complain about the word “fujoshi” because they take the translation of “rotten woman” the wrong way - specifically the “rotten” part.
“Rotten” in English has a meaning of “bad” or “shitty” in regards to behavior when applied to a person, and this gives them the idea that fujoshi means a bad or shitty women (who will supposedly go on to fetishize real life gay men)
In Japanese, however, the character used for fujoshi is 腐 which can be translated as “rotten”, but also as “fermented” or “ruined”. The woman is seen as “ruined” for marriage/datability prospects because she is more interested in fictional m x m romances than being a “respectable woman” - a submissive, chaste housewife (this is where we see the other meaning of 婦女子 (fujoshi) coming into play, with the 婦 (’fu’) being the character for ‘wife’).
TLDR; Fujoshi doesn’t mean “shitty (fetishizing) woman”, it means “ruined woman”.
