Two Can Kepp a Secret by Karen M. McManus
The main characters on the story are Ellery and Malcolm, whose brother was the main suspect in a crime that occurred 5 years ago. Due to their mother's drug problems, Ellery and her twin brother Ezra move to their mana's hometown. Long ago, when her mother was in her senior year of high school, her mother's twin sister was the first young woman at Echo Ridge to disappear. When they arrive in the city, it is soon threatened again.
As well as “One of Us is Lying, this book was great! I liked the characters, especially the twins, Ellery, and Ezra. In addition to the detective plot, the story also offers us a nice romantic line, which does not hurt at all.
The story kept me hooked and I was able to finish it quickly. It is exciting and mysterious from start to finish. I didn't guess who the killer was, and I couldn't think of why. And the last sentence left me in shock. I loved the ending.
If you like detective stories, I definitely recommend this book

The Guest List by Lucy Foley
➖The wedding party of the year.
➖An unexpected death.⁣
➖Thirteen suspects.⁣
At the beginning of the story, we are told that a murder has been committed, but we don’t know who has been murdered or who is the killer. As the story unfolds, the puzzle is added piece by piece and the suspicions change from chapter to chapter. The story is very entertaining and the twists are really exciting; during the whole time you wonder who has died and who is the killer and why, I actually was suspicious of everybody. I enjoyed this read a lot and highly recommend it.

The Whisper Man by Alex North
“If you leave a door half-open, soon you’ll hear the whispers spoken . . . “
Until he was finally caught, the killer was known as ‘The Whisper Man’.
Of course, an old crime need not trouble Tom and Jake as they try to settle in to their new home.
Except that now another boy has gone missing. And then Jake begins acting strangely.
He says he hears a whispering at his window .
Oh, what a book this was! Crime and a bit of horror in a single story worth reading. The plot is great, it kept me in suspense and constant tension, not knowing what would happen next. I was afraid and wanted to continue reading/listening to this book at the same time. This story has a slight supernatural element, which some may not like, but in my opinion, this is what makes it interesting and intriguing.

Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco
I think we all must have heard about "Jack the Ripper”, a serial killer who killed at least 5 prostitutes in the Whitechapel district of London in 1888 and has never been identified. This book places us in middle of the events.
I liked the heroes in this story and the way the author tells it, the location descriptions were well done, from the streets of London to Uncle Jonathan’s laboratory. The book has real photos from the 19th century that add authenticity to the story and make the monsters even more real. Plus, we’ve got very detailed descriptions of the murder scenes. Another thing I enjoyed was that this story includes authentic letters that the Ripper sent to newspapers. I’ve always been interested in this character, the Ripper, and I think that the theory presented by the author, worked pretty well with the characters she created.
Reasons to read Stalking Jack The Ripper:
- a great main character
- the author's writing style
- detailed descriptions of autopsies, murder scenes (an incredible research)
- amazing atmosphere of Victorian times
- a wonderful duo - Audrey and Thomas
- an excellent topic (the identity of Jack the Ripper)
- a very subtle romantic plot
