For me, they both have a much deeper importance than many imagine, not just a traumatized girl and a wretched old man, but rather something we see very often, two people trying the same difficulties, but having different choices.

Even though it doesn't quite fit in a way either, Mimic did not receive the support and affection he needed, and when he received it, it was too late for him, and it was a threat, and no one ever realized this before the tragedy happened, While Whisper had people in her life earlier, she had a thirst for revenge and now we see that it is more than that, it is about overcoming and how we need people by our side, sooner or later.

Mimic and Whisper are two characters that will hold a piece of my heart (Mimic mainly because of my favoritism), and they are two complicated and symbolic characters.

Going to Idw, I don't think Mimic will die, he can't change sides anymore, but all he needs is a hug and one last feeling of affection that he has refused to feel for years, I don't know if I want him dead or locked up forever, but for sure, as a last fight against whisper, I just want a dignified ending for him and a mental rest for her.

Idw could explore this symbolic side of them, and could go into much more depth, but I think it's time for a rest for this soul that was divided in two.
