George taking the microphone into the changing room with him and shouting "GIVE ME ANKLE, I WANT 4 CMS OF ANKLE" at Lewis while he's getting changed, and probably semi naked himself... How can you not enjoy what a dork he is?

thinking about the rosberg family and how a kardashian or dts style documentary about them would be amazing.
you have keke rosberg, a hard racing cigar smoking legend of motorsport from one of it's most dangerous eras, whose name literally means pixie rose mountain. the man who basically invented formula one in finland but was hated by his own media for being too cosmopolitan and when they tried to recognise his achievements refused to let them put his face on a postage stamp because he wouldn't make money off of it. studied to be a dentist but missed the entrance exam and became a racing driver instead. got out of having to take german in school by persuading the master that he would never need it but as soon as he met a hot older german woman went so insane over her that he proposed just months after meeting her and agreed to make it their primary language at home. set a record for the fastest lap in f1 history that lasted until 2004, won his first f1 race and then won a world championship before he won his second. known as a crazy racer who would go through you if you didn't let him past. also the softest dad who loves his baby boy more than anything else.
then there's sina, the coolest person in the rosberg family. was so hot and smart and talented that a man willingly sacrificed his cultural identity to be her husband. professional interpreter who knows a bunch of languages and taught them to her polyglot son. married a f1 world champion but hated his driving so much that she drove herself everywhere, even to events that she attended with him. showed up finland's independence day ball in a suit and bow tie against all dress customs. planned to give birth on her own because it's basically the same thing as going to the dentist, and she doesn't need a man for that. has an f1 champion husband and son and still banned f1 talk in her house for nico's entire career. got so nervous watching her baby race that she vacuumed the entire apartment each time. ditched her husband in dubai so that she could make it to the track to see nico become world champion in person. got drunk and talked about keke's sperm on live television.
nico rosberg, the saddest wettest kitten who ever lived. the most beloved baby in the world. cried at everything as a child. cried when he lost at tennis and when he won. uber competitive. incredibly athletic, competing internationally in karting and tennis. total nerd who had no trouble with his schoolwork despite missing school constantly and got accepted into imperial college london to study engineering. at the time the youngest person to ever drive an f1 car. the biggest single cause of sexuality crises in motorsport since 2006. was once sponsored by the german version of mtv. nicknamed after a teen pop sensation. met the love of his life when he was four and hit her over the head with a bucket while they were making sandcastles. had an incredibly difficult incredibly public divorce from a man he was never legally married to. dropped the mic said thank u, next and is so so happy in his retirement. has stripped down to his underwear on television and done a river clean up in designer coats. boy mom to an orange cat, girl dad to human children. loves his daughters more than anything, the kind of man who will leave a 2 million dollar car on a hill to hitchhike, with his videographer, to his daughters's christmas party. can pinpoint the amount of time lost in a corner exactly and needs everyone to know about it. deeply annoying, absolutely hilarious, incredibly kind.
and of course, vivian. ceo of the rosberg family. still planning the long game revenge on nico for hitting her with a bucket when they were children, born in germany, studied design in milan, can party harder than f1 drivers. has done the interior design for private jets, because apparently that's a thing. owner, creator and namesake of the best rated ice cream shop in the balearics. makes her daughters matching outfits for a taylor swift concert and publicly teases her husband for not being a fan. stages elaborate christmas photos with a different colour theme every year. wore a white dress with turquoise louboutins and chanel bag to match nico's race suit in one of the most iconic and yet deeply underappreciated wag moments in f1 history. ruined them with champagne but didn't care. wants her children to be happy. definitely pegs her husband.
most interesting motorsport family of all time. forget dts, i just want to know about them

If you beat the strongest you can say World Champion
“I held my own against Hamilton, I can become the number 1.” - The years in Mercedes with an idol. But also the first trips in van, with mum keeping his timings. The garage of dreams and fashion.
By Luigi Perna (From an article published on Italian Sportweek Magazine, issue nr 36, September the 7th, 2024)
Tumblr media
[Eyes(sunglasses) on the World Championship - Three years in Mercedes with Hamilton. And the next ones with Kimi Antonelli. The mountains and diving for relaxation. Interview with George Russell, the driver turned designer for Police.]
George Russell looks like a gentleman. He could be sitting sipping tea on the paths of Wimbledon during the tennis tournament or on a yacht in Portofino on a summer afternoon. Behind the elegant image and the polite ways of a little English lord, however, lies one of the most determined F1 drivers, who elbowed his way through to get to drive for his mentor Toto Wolff's team Mercedes.
Q. This will be your last season alongside Lewis Hamilton, first your idol and then your teammate. What have you learned from him?
GR. "He has given me so much, as a sportsman and as a person, thanks to his great experience as a driver at Mclaren and Mercedes. I think about the ability to work in a group, motivate the engineers and show the way to develop the car. I am eager to take over next year and continue the work I have done so far with Lewis".
Q. Has confronting with Hamilton in the same machinery increased your self-esteem?
GR. "I've always believed in myself. I always thought I could beat everyone and become a World Champion.
Now I've spent three years alongisde the greatest driver in history and, even though he's collected more points, I've beaten him more times than he's beaten me. If I've stood up to the greatest, then I'm confident I can succeed with anyone else".
Q. In 2025, you will have Andrea Kimi Antonelli as your teammate. Do you see yourself in the path he took within Mercedes?
GR. "There are many similarities. We both worked with Gwen Lagrue, who takes care of the junior program at Mercedes, we did the tests with the team and we got all the way to F1. I can't wait to see what Kimi will be able to do. He is certainly a great driver, hungry and eager to prove his worth, as I was when I started".
Q. You have known Toto Wolff for many years, what does he ask of the drivers in his role as Team Principal?
GR. "First of all to be fast (laughs). Then to behave well. And finally to help the team grow. We have many tasks. Not only to drive, we work with two thousand people to improve the engine and the car, we have to be leaders within the group, not to mention the activities with sponsors and partners".
Q. What do you appreciate about Toto?
GR. "His transparency and honesty. He praises you if you do a good performance and on the contrary tells you that you have to improve if it's not as good as he would like. At the same time, he is the first to judge himself trying to evolve and do more, without ever feeling sorry for himself".
Q. How was the job interview with Wolff?
GR. "I arrived at the Mercedes headquarters accompanied only by my manager, I was 15 or 16 years old, I was in a suit. There were five people in his office. In addition to Toto and Lagrue, the sporting director Ron Meadows, Ulrich Fritz, Mercedes' boss in the German Touring Car Championship, and engineer Mark Ellis. I was under pressure, but I made my personality and my results count. The rest is history. Mercedes trusted me and paid me all their attention, as they later did with Kimi. And Toto was clear from the first moment: 'If you'll win in F3 and F2, you'll get to F1. And if you do well with Williams, you will be promoted to Mercedes’ ".
Tumblr media
[Like on the catwalk - George Russell, 26, British driver for Team Mercedes, where he grew up. He made his F1 debut in 2019 with Williams.]
Q. What do you remember about your early racing years?
GR. "The first day in a kart on a track in Newark, England, and winning the European Junior Championship in 2011 against 120 drivers, including Verstappen, Ocon and Stroll. My family and I would travel for miles in a van, my dad Steve was my mechanic and my mum Alison would write down the times in a notebook. One day we set off from our house near Peterborough and drove all the way to Brindisi for an international race, dad used maps because he hated the sat navigator, it took us twenty-six hours...".
Tumblr media
["Police x George Russell", model and... designer- George Russell has customized his favorite Police model, with details that he drew "on a sheet of paper", while on vacation in the Caribbean. This limited edition is linked to a charity for The National Association for Mental Health.]
Q. Do you owe them a lot?
GR. "My family has always supported me. My sister and brother, who are several years older than me, were also with us and they pushed me to make my dream come true without jealousy. It was a collective effort and I have to thank them for that. Without their dedication, I wouldn't have gotten to where I am now".
Q. What is your relationship with fashion and the Police brand, to which you have linked up to give the name to a limited edition of sunglasses that will be used to fund the mental health association Mind?
GR. "Fashion is something I never thought about before coming arriving in F1. But here I have been lucky enough to collaborate with brands like Police, Tommy Hilfiger, Puma and I have given the right importance to the impact it has on all of us. If you look good, you feel good. You are confident. And often, when you meet other people, you are judged by the impression you make, even before you can speak. Also with fashion I can express my creativity. This new edition of Police sunglasses was designed in January, while I was on holiday in the Caribbean. I started drawing the details on a sheet of paper so I could transfer them to the computer. I wanted a simple and timeless line. There is the number 63 and my logo. It is my first collaboration of this kind".
Tumblr media
Q. Do you play any musical instruments?
GR. "I like music, but I don't play the piano or the guitar. My life has been running and only running. When I missed a few days of school, when I came back I had to make up for math, English or science, so I was forced to leave aside other activities like sports, music, acting. For the same reason, competing on the weekend, I couldn't socialize deeply with the other kids. It was part of the sacrifices to get to this point".
Q. Which F1 or road cars would you put in your dream garage?
GR. "Definitely the 1992 Williams driven by Nigel Mansell, then I'm jealous of the Mercedes 300 SL gullwing from the 50s that Toto has and I would like one just like it, I'm anxiously waiting for them to deliver the new Mercedes AMG One and I would also like the 2004 Ferrari F1 of Michael Schumacher".
Q. Did you have a poster of a driver in your bedroom when you were little?
GR. "Strangely enough, no. My older brother Benji was my hero. He also raced karts, with the number 63, won the Rotax World Championship and was on the cover of Karting Magazine in December 2007".
Q. Are padel and hiking your passions?
GR. "Yes, I love nature. Being outdoors is a way to relax and disconnect from the crazy world we live in. When I lived in Britain, I often went for walks in the woods. I also got passionate about diving. I play padel on Mondays with Lando Norris or the other drivers, because it's nice to meet up after a race".
Q. What was it like driving the 1924 Targa Florio-winning Mercedes on the streets of Brisighella to receive the Bandini trophy?
GR. "An incredible experience. I didn't expect a car from a hundred years ago to be so intuitive to drive. And what a noise! After a lap around the roundabouts, I was already pushing at full throttle, making the rear wheels spin. But I can't imagine what it meant for the drivers of the time to race with a car like that, without seat belts and with the sensation of flying out of the cockpit at every jolt. Much respect for them".
Q. Have you visited Italy often?
GR. "I spent a lot of time there as a boy, for the races, especially in Lonato del Garda, Brindisi, Otranto, Naples and Sarno. Then in the summer excursions in the Dolomites. I have been to Sicily, Capri and Venice. But I want to discover more. It is one of my favourite European countries".
Q. What would have you done if you hadn't become a driver?
GR. "I would probably be a farmer, today. Where I was born, agriculture is the main activity and my father also cultivated the fields. Or I would've worked in my grandfather's shop that sold paint, paper and tools. Racing has given me the opportunity to travel, meet incredible characters and learn about myself and people".

Any of u British or know British F1Blr people? I just got curious about how British people read George, Lando, and Alex's accents respectively. To me (from the US) and a lot of US based fans the accents all kind of sound the same, which is why I think George gets the extra reputation to US fans of sounding "posh" when UK fans don't necessarily perceive him that way.
Meanwhile I've noticed that Alex's accent almost sounds like how the Royal Family talks on The Crown (flattening ahhs into ehhs, like pronouncing "lap" as "lep" and "accent" like "eccent"). And Lando just sounds like. British? IDK.
