the thing that Hits abt that dead wife montage is that mark used to be So Very Alive. he used to have a life that he fit into and that he participated in with (understated, somewhat restrained) gusto. yeah it was always obvious that mark scout is depressed as fuck but what a fucking punch to the gut it was to realize that the mark scout we met in season 1 is truly just a shadow of the person he used to be. he shared a vibrant home full of foliage and books and conversation with his dazzlingly beautiful wife. they danced together in the kitchen. they were thinking about having kids.

Since a lot of people liked my dad's pic of Helly (Britt Lower) from the Grand Central Severance pop-up event, I decided to share some more! This time, I've also provided a few good shots including Dylan (Zach Cherry) and Mark (Adam Scott).

Don't get me wrong I love how many fics there are about Mark S having to experience alcohol withdrawal whenever his outie tries to stop drinking pre-canon. I love putting him in situations. But what if it was even Worse? Like it gets so bad he has a fucking seizure at his desk. And then Mark doesn't come back for like a week or more and everyone is so worried because they don't know if he quit or died or what. But of course he does come back, and for Mark it's only been a moment since the pain and confusion and Petey telling him he'd be okay, but now Petey is hugging him (which Kier doesn't encourage) and saying he'll personally kill Mark's outie if he ever scares him like that again.
