How did Lloyd lose his right arm?

No need to speak like that ! I'm happy to say. I have been asked but that just means it's easier for me to explain. Though I do recommend looking into my Ninjago Tag because other answers might be in there. Either way though, always happy to answer questions like this !!

In my AU, Lloyd loses his arm during one of the main arcs of the story. While my AU mostly follows the original shows plot pretty closely, it's got some big changes in places. One of the first of which is where we find our answers.

Right after the plot of Possession, Lloyd gives into his Oni side. Having been through so much in Possession and because he shared thoughts with the, at the time, Power Hungry Morro, he could help having his own power hungry thoughts out of habit. He fell into his Oni Side and over the course of a couple of months, used his powers to overthrow the world's Authority. He became Archon of Heaven's Ashen Tower. Edgy name, I know, so did all the other Ninja who don't let him live it down, no matter how bad ass it secretly was to take the tallest mountain, cover it in fire and call it an 'Ashen Tower' of Heaven. Either way. He ruled with fear. Fear bred from the loss of their greatest hero. Anyway, to cut it short, the Ninja fought him, Kai and Nya more specifically. It was during a fight where all of them where present however, where after each of the other Ninja land their final blows, Kai attacks last, and the attack burns away one of Lloyd's four arms. A mistake that Kai hasn't never really forgiven himself for but Lloyd has. (Mostly. Subconsciously he finds himself flinching around Kai's fire.)

After turning back to himself after being basically encased in one big hug, Lloyd found that the arm remained gone. And not keen on using his Oni form unless he has to, has become quite comfortable with the arm he still has.

You'll notice in the design it does look burnt off, rather than anything else. But yeah. Thank you again for asking !

Thank you very much for the question and I'm so glad you enjoy the designs ! I had lots of fun making them !

To answer the question, a lot. The Island Arc was a big part of the AU, i say was, it still is. I just talk in the past tense coz I haven't worked on it in a bit.

But basically, this conversation happened towards the latter end of the plot there, Damian would be out in the woods at the time with group B and Jason would take the moment to make Respawn comfortable after the Mountain Incident just prior to this. After this, Respawn would spend time with Jason and Rose and slowly become comfortable familiarly with them. Rose was always good to him, but now he will actually get to know her.

Eventually he and Damian will talk and Damian makes it pretty clear that he doesn't hate him at all. He understands why Respawn was made, and feels for the guy. All of Respawns internalized fears about being a false son, made in a lab and all that is comforted because hey, Damian was too.

Further details about what happened I can't remember unfortunately !! Hopefully next I'm into DC proper (it'll happen eventually), I'll likely make changes to those parts I can't remember anyway :))

Real random but I love when HLVRAI fan content writes the characters they way they talk in HLVRAI itself rather than trying to take it overly serious. Having them stutter or fuck up what they want to say is why HLVRAI was so good in the first place, the raw improv that makes up the majority of it all. Makes me so happy, so genuinely happy.

hey, if you're a usamerican getting the news, not knowing what to do, this is really really really good time to get acquainted with the national council on independent living, the independent living movement, and your local centers for independent living.

independent living centers provide services and support by disabled people for disabled people and can help with: navigating systems, self-advocacy, and accessing services, among many other things. in their truest form, CILs function not in the model of state agencies, but as a form of structured in-community mutual aid. my local CIL provides services like counseling, advocacy, grants to cover some home needs, and meals on wheels for disabled adults under sixty-five. CILs can't fill all the gaps in services we have in this country, but they do important work to keep people alive. if you need help, your local center for independent living may be able to help. if you can give help, your local center for independent living can definitely use your help!!!!!
