"Fishing" This piece was made for my brother. Snufkin resonates with him and we both have always liked the Moomins. I think Snufkin is a lonely character but that is not necessarily a bad thing.

"From the woods" I made this painting a while ago but still it seems fresh and somehow captivating. It looks different depending on the light. I've got pretty good comments about it: I haven't been so sure about it myself. But it does represent me entirely. This painting is me. The feeling that comes from it is, at least. This was also heavily inspired by Christy Moore's album "Where I Come From".

I finished Inktober 21!

I did it!! Finished Inktober at the age of 30. I did them in advance so I could scan them afterwards and post them at the right month: I still used 31 days to draw them. Now I’m hesitant because I really like some of them. Maybe I finish the ones I like and show the final results.

I mostly drew during workdays and chilled the weekends. This meant that some days I drew 2 or more pictures. I didn’t have time to think what to draw so I mostly did studies of things that interested me. 

This challenge has taught me that making something every day isn’t easy and that’s why you shouldn’t be too hard on yourself. That was my mistake in the earlier years. That and hating to draw from reference. Now I’m much more forgiving to myself, and I know that even from reference, I can put my own spin on it.
