Introduction/Pinned Post
Hello! I'm new to the tumblr rp community but very enthusiastic and open. If you're rp-ing (or looking to rp) with me, please be patient as I don't know all the terms yet.
I try and respond quickly, within 1-2 days at the most. I like to write larger replies, with lots of description, but am flexible.
Right now my only active rp character is Grandrath Cadmus, who is a minecraft-based oc. I may open up more characters later, but for now thats what I got.
To me! Call me Cadmus, my pronouns are they/them or he/him. I am very enthusiastic about minecraft (PLEASE ask me about my minecraft worlds and builds i swear).

Because I miss them- I prioritize Endermen-related blogs rather than the rest tho, since they're my fav mob so far, plus I sort of want to go back to the fandom.
Reblog this if you're a Minecraft blog!
#tentatively reblogging it here#because im new to the tumblr rp scene but the muse for this blog (g!cadmus) is a minecraft oc? so#ooc

Cadmus tilted their head, trying to see if the human was lying. They were not well versed in telling lie from truth, not when the subject of the question was in a position of weakness. Their personal experience in that position resonated through them, but they tried to push down any feelings of sheepishness or regret that arose. They had a duty to their empire, and to their people.
Still. There didn’t seem to be any signs of falsehoods. There was uncertainty, clearly visible on the other’s face, as well as what was most likely fear, but Cadmus was much larger than them and holding a large weapon. As he examined the human, he realized he was slowly untensing his muscles, and at that realization, he sighed. Straightening up, he lowered his ax, letting it rest back in the sling around his hips.
“Listen,” they started. “I can’t fully trust someone I don’t know they name of. Even if you were just trying to leave, there are too many people who would do their best to convince you that you should tell them everything you know about me.” Cadmus huffed a breath, trying to decide whether approaching the other up would be seen as aggressive or not.
Deeming that it would not be taken well, Cadmus groaned and settled into a seated position, knees coming up into their chest. Minuscule twinges of pain from old wounds sounded from throughout their body, and they grimaced as they shifted until a few of their joints cracked and they settled further into their seated position. The arrows inside of their quiver rattled as they settled on the floor. “I apologize if I have frightened you. You can call me Cadmus, and I am the leader of the Grandrath empire. I use masculine and neutral pronouns. And yourself?”
Cadmus straighted his neck, horn jewelry glinting in the sea-lantern light. He peered at the other, trying to gauge a reaction. The name Cadmus was uncommon, and with their title as emperor, hopefully that would elicit a reaction that would show any lie the other had told. Though the other was not fearless, there was undoubtedly a hidden strength to their stance, one that suggested a plan or two hidden up their sleeve. Cadmus saw no weapons on the other’s person, but that was no guarantee with sleeves that long and the magic many beings were able to harness and wield.
The cleared tunnels of the Temple had been just that- clear of anything or anyone. The shulker shells that littered the foyer were undisturbed, and a quick check of the materials they contained revealed that nothing was amiss. Still, the feeling that some world order had been changed persisted. Cadmus pushed forth, diving deeper into the Temple’s hidden rooms.
As the orange-yellow light of the lanterns faded from the explored tunnels, replaced by the ghostly inner light of the prismarine supplemented with the brighter white of the sea lanterns, Cadmus began to hear what sounded like boots, clicking unevenly on the prismarine. These sounds were interrupted by the splash of water, likely the something walking through the many puddles that pooled in the cracks. Cadmus began to walk softer, taking care to try and avoid letting their talons click on the floor, and avoiding as many puddles as possible. They moved slowly, axe in hand, letting the resonation of the other’s footsteps lead them through the maze of prismarine.
Turning the corner, they finally met the other face to face. Jolting back, their mane poofed up, a residual reaction from their childhood similar to what humans had described as “goosebumps”. The being that had been hiding in the monument appeared to be human, with light skin and long black hair, with a matching beard. They wore a thick yellow robe, with fine jewelry and a large belt buckle adorning their figure.
Cadmus raised his axe out of instinct, noticing the human’s eyes dart to it repeatedly. At the human’s loud questioning, he tensed, but tried to will his mane flat as to avoid giving away his shock.
He didn’t put his axe down, not knowing what the correct response was. They didn’t seem to bear any colors of kingdoms or groups he had angered, but someone appearing in the Temple they had not yet put a nether portal in was incredibly suspicious.
“I- yes, this is my ocean monument. What are you doing in it?” They asked, narrowing their eyes. A thought occurred to them. “And how long have you been here? Have you been spying on me?” The more innocent idea that the human had been watching them led to a more sinister conclusion: that they might be selling that information, helping a warring kingdom prepare an attack on the mountain city. Silvertip could be in danger right at this moment, and this person could be responsible for it. The human's efforts at distraction were easily seen through- who cared about sponges? Clearly, they were up to something.

RAHHHH i win. strength is so fun!!!!! I don't know very much (if anything) about tarot but this card's description is very good. I agree that g!cadmus prides themself on their strength and compassion, but they are indeed filled with a lot of self doubt at times. Change is something that they pride themselves on, but don't really adhere to.
This was super fun thank you for tagging me. I dont have anyone to tag on this blog yet so its up for grabs :]
WHAT TAROT CARD ARE YOU ?
THE STAR .
there is something wonderful stirring in the depths of your being. something within you– something latent– is sleeping there, in the cradle of your mind. creativity comes naturally to you, just as breathing or blinking. you have the capability to extend yourself through art. but are you afraid of it? creating something– terribly afraid that it will never be as good as you hope? it will never be made unless you use your own hands.
TAGGED BY : ( found from, actually ) @praemoniitus TAGGING : @ellegaard , @sprucewoodfae , @new-king-of-boomtown , @marv3l-drag0ns-rp !!
mun notes below .
i absolutely adore how ivor is my favorite tarot card omg?
at first i was iffy about this one even though i answered everything in character but now it makes total sense to me. i see this as who he used to be. the part of him he was hiding for so long because he was so afraid of showing his true self. so engulfed with rage and a lack of trust, he couldn't show his true emotions. he was afraid to, because how the hell can he trust the people who lied to him? now that jesse and the new order has let him be him, he can let his true self run free and he doesn't have to hold it back anymore. it's very nice.
#ooc#tag games#i cheated a littel because g!cad is almost exactly a self insert and this is an incredibly fascinating card

Grandrath and its Cities
Grandrath, the empire that Cadmus rules ((ooc: which is why Cadmus is often referred to as g!cadmus)), is very new. Cadmus began building it very recently, inviting many refugees from far-away wars to live there.
The capitol city of Grandrath is called “Silvertip”. There is the main city, which is mostly used for trading and is where cadmus resides. Most trading happens under the mountain, but as Silvertip was originally designed as a stronghold against a seige, there is plenty of residential and farming space.
Very close to Silvertip is the town of “Fairmount”, which began as an iron mining town “Ferrmount” but due to linguistic drift and inside jokes, shifted to its current name. Fairmount is a suspended village around a ravine, and has a resident enchanter who lives in a wizard tower right outside of town.
Down the road from Fairmount is the town of “Fieldview”, which is primarily a farming village who also houses one of the larger taverns in the area. Fieldview is also home to a very famous smithy and jewelsmith, and as such receives a lot of material from Fairmount.
There is planning to reconstruct the fallen town of Caspen, which fell to raiders many years ago. It’s slow going, sadly, as the village was constructed on very unstable land.
#grandrath#ooc#urban planning#i'll probably update this as i create more cities#and maybe pictures as well!#im making a separate post for things like trade and symbols and culture#and also probably a separate post for other monuments like nether features the spawn project the soul whale and the ocean temple#OMG AND OLD BUILDS.... my littol cabin..... the sandstone temple.....#omg i forgot about those

The ocean roared, the squawking of gulls and the crash of waves playing a symphony that delighted Cadmus. They had been working for most of the past week on their new Temple, finishing the last of the draining and starting the excavation and landscaping to bring out it’s beauty. Though the inner temple had long been cleared of it’s Guardians, Cadmus had not ventured in and opened all the long-closed hallways. This temple sat low to the ground, prismarine shimmering and glimmering wetly, never quite losing the waterlogged nature. Cadmus had decided to leave reshaping and rebuilding the Temple to later, preferring to get started on his plans to create sprawling gardens and reinforce the glass-and-blackstone barrier that kept the ocean at bay. His talons dug deep into the fresh soil, and he crouched on bended knees and sowed rows and rows of vegetables, moss, grasses, and saplings. The gardens would barely held back by planter boxes and lightposts, but for now, the earth lacked the greenery so common in other projects he had started back at the mountainous city.
Cadmus straightened up, rotating their arms and stretching out their back. They were not as young as they had been, and the many injuries accrued during their lifetime twinged. They missed the weight of their true wings on their back, but the prosthetics they had made helped. They turned to look at the monument that was the Temple. The sun was high in the sky, sending arcs of light bouncing off the Temple, but something about it seemed… off. Did something shift? A new monster crawling out of the earth in the cool shade underneath the Temple?
Cadmus put away his hoe and wiped his hands on his pants. The baggy material was stained, but they were comfortable and loose enough to be adaptable to the heat that came with working under the sun. He walked over to his work station, grabbing his axe and a quiver of arrows, just in case it was a monster that he needed to take care of. He hauled himself into the entrance, startling when he heard the sound of boots clicking on the prismarine. Was someone else here?
#oc rp#adventuringalchemy#in-character#i did so much worldbuilding only to call the city silvertip. either way im naming all my other cities too <3

Grandrath!Cadmus

He/They Pronouns Minecraft OC
Cadmus has navy blue scales covering their body, and a light blue mane around their neck and on their spine. He has two sets of horns- one straight, and the other curling around their jaw. They used to have wings when they were little, but lost them due to infection during the mining camp. Instead, they have a prosthetic made from an elytra and some clever redstone engineering by their friend.
Their Backstory, below the cut:
Got lost/wandered away from home as a kid As he grew up, they started doin pretty heroic things, and kind of got known as a super strong and cool folklore guy who was always willing to lend a hand. At some point, slavers caught wind of this super strong guy, and thought "oh man perfect guy to force to help us dig mineshafts to become rich!" so they went out and somehow caught cadmus. They leveraged a hostage against them during a difficult fight- Cadmus never figured out what happened to the kid, but wants to know.
Cadmus gets caught, and he goes to labor mining camp, where the conditions SUCKED. Cadmus was one of the stronger workers, so they were kept mostly in the mines digging or taking resources up to the top like a pack animal. Their mane was shaved (which was a BIG cultural ouchie), their horns filed down (bigger ouchie) and their wings were bound. Cadmus wasn't yet full grown, so that severely stunted the growth of the wings. In a big cave in, cadmus got trapped by the rubble, and was left down there for a couple months in a kind of desperation hibernation thingy. The wings had been caught by some rocks, so they weren’t doin too good, and when he got found again, the wings were amputated right below the elbow equivalent because they weren't workable. Cadmus woke up during the amputation, went on a berserker frenzy, killing the slavers and freeing a couple other prisoners. They then fled, making it to a village where they got their wings officially (safely) taken care of, but they didn't have wings anymore (sad). they were super scared of bein seen as a monster by the townfolk, so they almost dipped, but they stayed to make sure they didnt die of infection
When they were fully healed up, cadmus met a wandering group called "the nomads", where they joined the brigade, and started building up a new empire modeled after their home- that which is now known as "Grandrath", and they managed to make a wing-prosthesis (elytra inspired)
