hey has anyone thought about how having Paul in the outsiders musical fulfil the roles of both Bob's best friend and the ex-friend of Darry raises age gap question marks in at least one dynamic no matter how you look at it.

Either Cherry and Bob are nearing 20 which raises some red flags in both of their interactions with Ponyboy and is just not really conceivable OR Paul is best friends with someone like at the very least 3-4+ years younger than him which is a lil weird OR Paul and bob are the same age which means Bob is a pedo OR Cherry, Bob, and Paul are all within 1 or two years of Ponyboy's age, which means Darry used to be pseudo besties with a guy who was 12-14 when he was 18.
