I wake up to my alarm, wishing I hadn't, I groan sitting up on my bed and look down at my arm, still fresh with cuts, I get up and look for one of my various hoodie's that were splayed out on the ground, among other clothes I look at my alarm, according to that i have around 20 minutes before school, looks like I have time to eat some breakfast, I walk into the kitchen, it's empty as usual, the dirty dishes are in the sink still, Beth didn't do them last night she must have forgotten, well I don't want mom to get upset with her so, ill just do them for her. Then when i finish I get up and realise my hair is a mess, I spend around 5 minutes brushing it and then using the bathroom. I look at the oven timer and realise that my alarm clock time was off by 15 minutes, and it was past the time I usually walk to my bus stop, I grab my backpack and rush out the door, as I approach my bus stop I see the bus is just about to leave,

I run towards it just in time, the bus is crowded as usual so I sit next to someone which I'd usually avoid otherwise. The bus gets to school. I walk into the school and go to homeroom.

Later that day in passing, my friend Hannah approaches me, we've been friends since we met at the beginning of the year. "Hey Jace" oh hay, I reply. How's your day been? Its been pretty stale as usual, I say. Oh yeah pretty much the same for me. Anyway I made you this necklace. Oh thank you, I look down at it, it has a little jar with moss and some water in it, I put it on. "Anyway I gotta go goodbye" she hugs me as she leaves to Ms. Landed's. oh Bye Hannah. During class the boys as usual, are throwing shit at me, because they think its weird that I'm gay, I am not having it today. I speak up and yell at them telling them to stop, " WILL YOU STOP THAT??!" Jace Cunningham! What gives you the right to yell and interrupt me? "They were throwing shit at me again, and I'm sick of it" Jace watch your language! To the office. I grab my stuff and head down to the office, I get off with a parent phone call, luckily my mom doesn't really care about that stuff so she was more upset with them calling her for no reason. I get to my last class of the day. I sit next to Aiden my best friend, we've been friends since middle school, and do a lot together, since last year I've had this thing for him, but...I don't know if he feels the same about me. hi Aiden, hay Jace, how are you? Oh I'm okay, yeah same, you free later? I don't wanna intrude on your plans but I wanted to sneak out and drink monster somewhere. As long as we don't get lost this time, then yeah. We won't go that far, I just didn't wanna be alone. And I don't trust you alone at night with your thoughts or your father, got it? don't think I didn't notice your arm. Shit I forgot to take it down from using the bathroom, oh uh, that...yeah. Settle down class we have a lot of work to do. my teacher Ms. Carter's voice starts fading into the distance, and just like that the school day is over. Aiden and I walk home together like usual, talking about usual stuff, sometimes I kinda wish I didn't like him so much, its almost like I have an addiction. Hay anyway should I bring some snacks or something too? I don't want you the only one bringing shit. Yeah if you have anything. we approach my house "bye Aiden"

"Bye see yah later" I walk into my house. Great, I forgot Beth has an after school program. So its just me and my dad.
