I really wanna make a comprehensive list of shit that implies that Tenna and Spamton still deeply care about each other but it's hard to think about. I know that stuff like that can be hidden in plain fucking sight since toby likes putting details in the most fun places but WHERE. And now I'm thinking about Device Theory. Molly argues that Deltarune is sort of a push and pull between linearity and unlinearity. There are things that try to keep you on the intended path, but there are also things that make you break free from that. Spamton wants to break free from his strings, of course he'd encourage you to go on the weird route, to get off the intended path. Tenna is the opposite of that. He WANTS to fulfill his purpose. It's all he wants to do. He follows the intended path. Spamton? He doesn't wanna be spam email. He doesn't want to be pushed around by things outside his control. He wants to be a real boy! So he tries to find another path. While Tenna planned out one single path you have to follow in his game boards. Ramb comments on that fact, and then he invites Kris to play the original game, the one with freedom. Y'know, The One that has the WEIRD ROUTE. And now I'm thinking about superficial freedom and how that's what Jevil feels and what Spamton gets and THATS WHAT THE WEIRD ROUTE IS YOU TRY TO FIND A DIFFERENT PATH BUT IT'S NOT A REAL FREEDOM AND YEAH!! OKAY!! Molly has once again been proven right!! Device theory is the GOAT!

and also it's ironic that Tenna avoids his death, his "fate". His being alive is what proves the final tragedy can somehow end up better with kindness. Recruiting everyone is the only way he doesn't die. His other fate too, obscurity. He doesn't get thrown away in the end. But that still follows the prophecy. While Spamton has to deal with being a goddamn puppet, stuck with strings, no freedom. Even after trying to change his predestined use as a puppet

And like okay. Tenna and Spamton are opposites in that sense. One endorses the intended path while the other endorses the secret alternate path. One doesn't gets his worst fate while the other does. FUCKED. UP.

And I'm thinking about how in ch4 WEIRD ROUTE Ralsei wonders at the end that a different ending from the prophecy could lead to something even worse.

Can you imagine if spamton (who CLEARLY KNOWS about the prophecy or at the very least what was going to happen to tenna) was being constantly surrounded by these symbols and reminded of it every single day (This one isn't so much a genuine "I think this is something" but rather a fucked up "what if it is".)
