Lonely Planet Hotel - Season Two Premier

Happy Saturday! I'm so excited to announce that season two of my cozy sci-fi drama web novel series Lonely Planet Hotel is premiering on Tapas this afternoon! I also had to use it as an excuse to share this amazing art that Michillart over on Instagram did of the main character, Ellis - my first asexual and intentionally neurodivergent protagonist (most of them end up that way haha but Ellis was intentionally written to be autistic based on my own experiences)!

Season two continues to follow the expanding staff of The Lonely Planet Hotel as they serve the eclectic guests that arrived the month prior. With February bringing new hires, new challenges, and new romance to the quiet Antarctic resort, Ellis begins to discover how rewarding healing can actually be once he's able to wrap his mind around it. The staff is preparing for the incoming dark season that is rapidly approach, along with an influx of guests, but the proprietor's new outlook on life and his hotel require some changes to be made to keep the facility going - some that the tenured staff members may push back on when their comfortable way of life is threatened.

Forced to leave his technology behind, Ellis arrives on the doorstep of a grand, state of the art facility nestled in the frigid arctic wasteland. The resort is secretive, exclusive, and completely hidden from public knowledge. Only those with high recommendations can book a season at the resort, and the newly arriving guests looking for reprieve are not what he initially envisioned.

Run by the chipper Carlisle Hawthorne and his dedicated, hardworking staff, The Lonely Planet Hotel opens its doors for the first season of the year, thrusting Ellis into a world filled with artists, aristocrats, heirs and lost souls all looking for healing in the midst of a chaotic universe. The beautiful, isolated hotel offers rest for the weary, healing for the hurt, and family for the lonely; all things Ellis desperately needs but refuses to acknowledge. Most of all, it brings a mysterious writer named Dean Winters into his life that threatens to change everything...

Big Weekend on Patreon!

It’s FRIDAYYYYY which means it’s time for a brand new chapter of “The Night Farm” and a big weekend of new uploads over on The Lonely Planet, and OMG how cute is this template I stumbled upon?!?! I HAD to use it, it's giving Stardew Valley and I'm obsessed. I’ve got a lot of new bookish goodness dropping over on the PayTree in the next few days, so I hope you'll stop by!

No new TNF upload on Tapas (it’s my off week) but there will be a character bio post going up tomorrow for “Lonely Planet” since season one just wrapped!

One of the biggest OMG WTF chapters of “The Night Farm” is dropping in a few minutes, it’s a game changing entry and I’ve been dying for y’all to read it!

Tomorrow is a new LPH chapter, it’s a super cute one with a wonderful found family bonding moment between everyone's favorite sad bean Ellis and papa bear Grant that I had such a wonderful time writing.

On Sunday, “All Hail The Pale Kings” is back for its first of two updates this month! Funeral planning, ghostly apparitions, and unusual graffiti haunt Brendan as he wrestles with his recent loss. If you haven’t started this series now is a great time to do so, the religious horror elements are ramping up!

Finally, for St. Patrick’s Day, I’ll be dropping the first bonus story for the “Nights in New Eden” series on ALL tiers! It won’t be a spicy chapter (the future ones will), but this will be a cute little rainy day tale that follows the events of the first two books as Eli and Des try to figure out how to pass the time when stormy weather cancels their plans!

Synopsis 🎄

Eli is a fallen angel living in the quaint town of New Eden, and every day is filled with magic and cheer while working in his bakery, The Sunny Day Café. Housing a near-obsessive love for the holidays, Eli eagerly awaits Christmas each and every year, going all out with the decorations and cookies. This Christmas is anything but sweet, however, as Eli’s tree is lacking presents and his little shop is empty for the second year in a row. To make matters worse, the furnace is on the fritz and a blizzard is on the way. Just when he didn’t think his Christmas could be any crappier, in walks Des, his handsome (literal) demon of an ex-boyfriend.

Des offers to fix up Eli’s furnace in exchange for a latte and some company, but as the storm picks up that drapes The Sunny Day Café in darkness, the exes soon find themselves snowed in! Unable to do much else than chat and huddle together for warmth, Eli and Des are forced to face the unresolved issues that drove a wedge between them years prior, and the chilly Christmas Eve may just turn into one hell of a night they’ll never forget.
