The Rain.
What do you like most about the rain?
I don't.
You don't like the rain?
I hate the rain.
Why?
It makes me sad.
Well, sometimes people are only sad about things when they've had a bad experiences with it.
Blah blah blah.
I take that as a yes?
A yes, to what?
Give me a chance.
A chance to do what, exactly?
To ask you the question again.
I don't understand.
Would you like to dance with me?
In the rain? That's insane!
What? Are you afraid you might enjoy it?
Fine.
May we review the question?
What are you talking about?
So, tell me. What do you like most about the rain?
Well, I liked you in it. I guess.
And?
And, what?
Do you feel sad?
No.
Then I believe I'm correct. People are only sad about things when they've had a bad experience with it.
You don't know everything - you know.
I do know that you didn't hate the rain today.

What it would be, without it.
I often feel that life, especially mine, is a lot of things "just put together" and maybe this page is one of those things. So, here's to some more content. Writing. Storytelling. Poetry.
Things that makes me feel alive. 🥂

If it is out of your hands, it deserves freedom from your mind too.
I am so connected to my thoughts, that most of the times I wish I wasn't. It's truly tiring to run an entire theater performance by yourself - especially if the audience only gets to see the grand opening performance. The rehearsal of the things that never takes place - that's the exhausting part. The self appointed role I took on...
It is also the self appointed role I can quit.
As I follow my intuition by lucid writing into a void - one thing has become clear...
The only person standing in your way, is you.

Self Love.
I've been walking around with this awakening inside me of how much our words influence what we think, speak and do.
I am challenged to write a positive affirmation every day, in the following statements:
I am, I can and I will.
Today, I will start simple - I am unique. I can (have the ability to) create. I will influence others with my presence.
It's a simple way of self love and discovery.
May you take away from it what you need.

Words may inspire, but only action creates change.
You need that pep talk.
The one you don't want to hear.
That one conversation you need to have with yourself. To set yourself straight. To pick yourself up. To remind yourself of your own worth. To feel powerful again and to realize, that power has always been within you.
I hate the fact that my advice seems to work in the favor of everyone else, but myself. A hard core question - am I following this advice? Am I taking action?
Or are we just living an illusion that could be our lives? It's time for change. Real change.
"May you be ready" I whisper to myself and shout everyone else as a reminder to take action - one small step at a time.

You owe it to yourself.
Everyone is trapped in their own fast paced life of never-ending events, tasks and to do lists. I'm sure we've all had those days where the door handle catches us by surprise and sends us into a downward spiral of anxiety. When did we start accepting that everything has to happen right now?
How often do we stop, just to breathe? To get some fresh air? Today, I stopped for a moment, and in that moment I realized - this moment, how ever fleet - is a moment where I get to breathe. We get so little of these moments in our day where the weight of responsibility isn't an all consuming thought.
I want to take more of these moments - a moment for myself. To breathe, to regulate, to be calm, to write or read, to listen to music, to go for a walk and pet a dog. To be still.
I owe these moments to myself. We all do.

We are shaped by our thoughts, we become what we think.
Some days, I experience a burst of inspiration and ambition that could set the world on fire and other days, I can not seem to participate in life.
I have to admit, that keeping a positive mindset is a lot harder than putting together inspirational posts. I am truly making this my personal mission - to be real, open and honest. Life isn't always rainbows and butterflies.
After a few hard days and a lot of negative self talk, I decided to take a step back. I questioned why doing this, is important to me and I know - it's because it matters.
Somewhere out there, someone needs the reassurance that not every day will be a bad day and still - we get to choose what we take from it. We get to say "may I be better for it".
Let's stay connected to the voice of reason, that gives us all a purpose - even when that purpose comes with hardship.
Let that be how we grow.

If a thing is worth doing, it's worth doing badly.
I don't know why life seems to prove to me, that getting to where you want to be and doing what you want to do, comes with letting go.
I am rolling in the deep with my passions and letting go of fears and insecurities. Our "what if?" is rarely a positive thought. Let's change the narrative and keep believing in ourselves. Realize that there's no right or wrong and embrace our faults and shortcomings.
At the end of the day, we are all exactly where we are meant to be and only we determine where we go next.
So, what if you can be who you've always wanted to be?

May I be.
I fall in love with words every day of my life - most of which I have used to express myself. Have I failed to do so? Most definitely.
Excitement filled me, when I came across the idea of using "May I..." or "May we, they and you..." as prompts for healing. This is a way of putting something out there, it can be "may I reach my dreams" and "may you find healing", or you can focus on better relationships by saying "may we continue to forgive" and wish each other well with "may they find what they are looking for". Isn't it beautiful?
May you join me on my own journey of recovery, growth and healing, as I am challenged to find positive ways in which these words help me and others. In the moments where I feel overwhelmed by life and my anxious thoughts take over - I can remind myself of what I can be instead.
May I be enough. ✨

You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.
How often do we let go of our dreams and continue our mediocre lives?
For years I have had a vision - to inspire. I'm allowing the words "May I" to guide me, to write and to be.
May I fulfill this purpose and may you be encouraged by it.
