Hi guys! Does anyone play Modern Combat Versus (MCVS)? If so you should join my clan! Currently there is only 4 of us and we would like to have more players! All levels are welcome! Clan name WE TRIED (yes that’s the actual name, we couldn’t come up with anything else)

I take a picture of this add on the subway (sorry about the quality). It’s an add for the game Modern Combat Versus, and it’s the first time of my life I ever though “This female character is nothing more than a female”. All of the other characters seems to have at least one define trait : is the hooded figure on the left threatening or a dark good guy? The main character in the middle, with his yellow helmet, is he positive or a little unstable? They’re open to interpretation and tell us a story. But the girl? She is pink. And boobs.

This seems more like @bikiniarmorbattledamage‘s domain, so I’m going to post this just to tag them in (keeping in mind that their opinions are not necessarily mine and vice versa).

For my own commentary, I looked up the game for a clearer picture, and I think a number of those characters are also women, not just the pink one with the cat ears.  I’ve included them in the picture set so people can see them too (:

The pink cat ears one also seems to be framed as a stereotypically “girly” one who takes selfies and stuff (like D.Va in Overwatch), which is something that could be critiqued, but I did want to point out she’s not the only woman in the game, and the other designs are pretty cool and not focusing on them having boobs or anything. (I really love the red and black one).  I actually really like a lot of the designs, and even the pink one I think is pretty neat.  I do understand your feelings about it too though, given how the characters were positioned and framed in the ad, but I wanted to include more information that I found also (:

(honestly now I’m curious about this game, I really do find a lot of these designs neat)
