love Sam killed Paulie as the potentiality of angst & illustration of anguish/grief through misplaced greed + Sam the esteemed protege trembling hands, Salieri holding the backs of his arms, running thick fingers along his shoulders, calling Sam ‘his boy’ and Paulie’s a ‘little problem’ now. While the stench of sweat and nicotine lingers in curtains drawn shut, Sam cannot recognize if it’s his shaking fingers that clasp around a gun, or if it’s the old man rocking on his heels that send shudders through the room.

But also Sam not killing Paulie is just as good because he kneels at the feet of Tom in a hollowed out mausoleum of the past. In hopes that vitriol will save him, checkered floor paneling that play chess with no winner. At the end of the day Sam is made of the same people he’s devoted himself to, and it is in fact his ruin.

#genuinely insane how you can string words together into pure poetry no matter the topic. i’m so envious of you in this regard #assisted suicide with gay steps. exactly ‼️‼️‼️#yes it’s important to think of sam killing paulie. for plot reasons. your beginning will become your undoing #however i don’t think he was ever able to do it and he gave the task to some young buck trying to prove themselves #while sam was with the car outside and threw up all over his shoes #in the end- sam was never much of a chess player #hollowed out mausoleum of the past = art history museum but can ALSO = sam trying to relive memories of paulie to tommy #<- hurt myself immediately and immensely #sam/tommy the pair u are to me #mde #sam trapani #paulie lombardo #tommy angelo

Paulie was so goddamn worried for Sam in that barn, which only makes the ending of the game more infuriating to me. Because how dare he? How dare Sam kill the man who openly allowed himself to look vulnerable in front of everyone?

I EXPECTED A KISS ON THE CHEEK, NOT TWO BULLETS TO THE HEAD!

#IF u believe sam is the one that killed paulie then . at least one of the shots were in the back of the head #/ side of the head. like. does it bring you more comfort that paulie never saw or it coming or does it make it worse? :)#i personally think sam isn’t the one who killed paulie bc i don’t think he would have been able to do it #even in the end he ALLOWED tommy to kill #him. he didn’t even need to show up. he could have called tommy to thay museum & tommy would’ve came #and the second he walked thru - they could have shot him #there’s just no one on this planet that can convince me the death of art wasn’t an assisted suicide mission . Hey so random and sorry for bothering you but do you think there's a chance Tommy would have a survivor guilt after the whole mob thing

i think tommy 100% has a lot of guilt. but framing it as survivor’s guilt because he survived his and paulie’s plan but paulie, who truly just wanted a chance at his own life, didn’t…. heart shattering. i never thought of it as survivor’s guilt before. never going to recover. hope ur happy beary :/

#i always thought tommy’s main guilt was putting luigi in jail & killing sam #both people sarah was incredibly close to. people who were/felt like her family #but to say he felt survivor’s guilt because he was able to make it out and paulie wasn’t…#that he was only able to make it out BECAUSE paulie died…..#ouch pain and suffering #asks #mde #tommy angelo #paulie lombardo
