Okay, maybe posting the unedited one previously was a mistake because it’s so much better with the contrast, saturation, and dehaze boosted.

And I loath unadorned walls and air.

This is probably the coolest photo I’ve ever taken. Unedited.

I hate hostile architecture. Below:
1. To deter skateboarding
2. To stop people from camping in the woods of a park
3. To prevent sleeping on benches
4 & 5. To prevent sleeping under bridges.

What’s the most midwestern thing I’ve done lately? Going outside to look at the clouds while the tornado sirens are going off. (9/7/20)
Sorry this video is long and there’s talking during it, but it’s a fun little slice of life.

Here, have a bridge. I have nothing clever to add and no associated song. Please accept my (insincere) apologizes.

Ick. Sorry about your illness. Might be personal, but was it covid? I’ve heard the recovery can be awful and lengthy.
I had a lot of Covid symptoms so my doc did have me tested. Negative results. So probably not covid. Nevertheless, I’m interested in getting antibody tests done because I’ve never been sick this long before. But my understanding is the antibody tests still have huge margins of error. So 🤷🏻♀️

Streak of rust
So I’ve been sick for almost two months now. I hiked 91 miles between January and June. And zero in July and August until this two miler kicked my ass. I was carrying hardly any weight (which means no DSLR, this is an iphone photo), I had only planned on going five miles, and I was on an easy trail. Nevertheless, my heart rate average was 132, I was dizzy, and every minor uphill was a tremendous difficulty. Turned around before my goal. Back to square one I guess. I wish I could have enjoyed it more.

As much as I love curators, I want to follow more photographers. Any recommendations or shameless self-plugs?

Quote
Ordinarily I go to the woods alone, with not a single friend, for they are all smilers and talkers and therefore unsuitable. I don’t really want to be witnessed talking to the catbirds or hugging the old black oak tree. I have my ways of praying, as you no doubt have yours. Besides, when I am alone I can become invisible. I can sit on the top of a dune as motionless as an uprise of weeds, until the foxes run by unconcerned. I can hear the almost unhearable sound of the roses singing. If you have ever gone to the woods with me, I must love you very much.

Yes, I primarily listen to indie and folk, but I’m not going to pretend I don’t like T Swift.
So, what’s your favorite song on folklore?
I’m torn between exile and my tears ricochet.
