The Evolution of Media, from old to new, has changed the way we understand the world around us. New media are interactive, while old media are a more traditional way of communicating through television, radio, newspapers, magazines, books, etc. New media gives us a new perspective by allowing us to interact with each other through the Internet. Media has become much more personal and diverse as user-generated content becomes more important in our lives. In today’s world, the media has change because of innovation in technology, internet and modern society.

The evolution of media affects the lives of our modern society. These changes gave birth to the "social media" we were currently using, and the place where we could share our opinions, get advice from others, and the landmark on most of the legitimate information was getting from. Furthermore, other new media platforms that are established are here. Social media and new media even helped many businesses grow and promote themselves and have helped people find a better way to connect and communicate. On the other hand, it has also provided many people with mental health problems, emotional insecurities, and waste of time. We can easily access the world's happening, like the state of our country's growth in economics, politics, and essential issue.

“The Value of Being a Media and Information Literate Individual” 

Become media literate, a person must be able to recognize when information is needed and have the ability to locate and evaluate it. Understanding of the purpose, goals, aims, and craft of making media are also needed attributes of media and information literate individuals. 

Media and Information Literacy enables people to interpret and make informed judgments as users of information and media, as well as to become skillful creators, producers and media messages in their own right. It includes the ability to understand media functions, evaluate how they are performed and use them for self-expression, while information literacy emphasizes the importance of access to information and the evaluation and ethical use of such information. The media is considered the "mirror" of modern society, and it is the media that shapes our lives. The purpose of the media is to keep people informed about current news events and to cover the latest gossip and fashion. Talk about people who are geographically separated. The role of the media has become a way to market and market products and prejudices. The media claimed to be governed by righteousness and fairness, but greed and self-aggrandizement have poisoned their virtues. But it has given a good contribution for our society.

‘‘The Value of Being a Media and Information Literate Individual.”

We spent the day taking our notes. not going to lie, it’s kind of draining, but we managed to get a few pages done. We are also getting used to the good notes app when it comes to taking more serious notes. Being an information literate individual enables people to interpret and make informed judgments as users of information. It promotes problem-solving approaches and thinking skills – asking questions and seeking answers, finding information, forming opinions, evaluating sources, and making decisions fostering successful learners, effective contributors, confident individuals, and as well as to become skillful creators and produce information and media messages in their own right. 

 I also think that being a Media and Information Literate individual gives us the advantage to learn and educate ourselves on the information we found on the internet. This will help us to decide whether we believe in the information found on the internet or not. In this way, we can educate and improve our skill in differentiating true or false information statements found in the media. I think that being able to differentiate the information will help us to be more wise in believing and agreeing on the things around us or in the information found in social media.
