A marble pulpit of Siena cathedral. It was sculpted by Nicola Pisano and his assistants in 1260s. Among the latter were for example Arnolfo di Cambio and Nicola’s son Giovanni. Come to think of it the pulpit resembles quite a lot of old Roman works of art.

As some of you may recall, I like the history of Norman Italy. This book tells the story of Robert Guiscard who was one of the first members of Hauteville family, who came to Italy. Since the link I posted some years ago doesn't work anymore I decided to post a new one.
