Today's #MiniatureMonday is this little 14th century Italian Psalter. The 'miniature' in this case is an inhabited initial and marginal decorations, in part illustrating the hunt (look for dogs, the fox and a rabbit in the bottom margin) This is a Ferial Psalter - in addition to the psalms, it includes antiphons and other prayers. (Ms. Codex 1057)

For #FragmentFriday this bifolium contains the continuous text of Psalms 44.5-47.15. It was originally part of a psalter probably written and decorated in the diocese of Seville, in southern Spain, in the early 13th century (UPenn Ms. Coll. 591, folder 17)
