Fandoms for Flood Relief

So, the news is pretty bleak nowadays. With FEMA being gutted, it's very unlikely any federal help is going toward Texas. So, maybe we can do a fandom fic fundraiser? I was thinking people who donate could screenshot their receipts and make requests, maybe?

DA:O, the HoF chooses to make Loghain a Warden, Alistair ends up in Kirkwall.

DA2, Leliana meets Alistair in Kirkwall, recognizes him, and tries to help him (if they weren't friends in dao, then at least for old time's sake)

DA:I, Alistair is the Commander of the Inquisition's forces and of the advisors. His romance? If unromanced in DA:O, he acknowledges how he romanticized the Grey Wardens and shows growth by speaking with Loghain about how HoF made the right choice. Not an apology, but something alike. (we'd get to see the growth and the work he puts in ourselves)

If romanced in DA:O, speaking about how what he saw as betrayal was actually a well thought out decision. Once again, acknowledgement of how he romanticised the Grey Wardens. Finally, when asked if he considers rekindling with HoF, no, too much history, trust thoroughly broken. He'd rather look forward (cutscene discussion, if in romance, he looks directly at Inky while saying that)

the point was she wanted to get back to may 24th at 7:30 am cause she had a shift. she had a shift that she needed to get to cause she was a nurse and god knows hospitals don't function without them. she had a shitty flat with annoying roommates, and she drank expired milk for dinner.

she wanted to go back to that, not cause it was extraordinary, but because it was hers. she had carved a life for herself where she could help other people and it was enough for her.

she didn't need the stars, she didn't need some far away galaxy to tell her what she'd always been. and she definitely didn't need another doctor to try and show her what she's known all along.

she wasn't someone's daughter, she wasn't someone's mother. she didn't have to go back she had to be something for someone else, she wanted to go back because she wanted to be something for herself.

i already said it in my tags on this post, i love it when doctor who reuses actors. however, this post is specifically about Capaldi because not only is there the connection to the family Donna begged Ten to save, there's also Capaldi's character in Torchwood and all the horrible things that happened in that season.

what happened to those children. that, the one time the Doctor wasn't there to help when they really, very much needed him, children didn't just get hurt, they were turned into drugs and kept alive and young until they were, for lack of a better word, of no use anymore. the way that child they showed looked.

maybe, when Twelve said this face was supposed to remind him of something, it wasn't just to save someone, anyone, but also what happened when he let humanity down.

poppy also. i know she's not there a lot, but she's a black girl. and instead of acknowledging that wish!poppy never truly existed, the doctor rewrites belinda and poppy's lives. instead of being on the ship, poppy is now belinda's daughter. instead of being career-focused, belinda is now poppy's mother. they both had a past, a story, they both existed before the doctor. and all three are people of color.

okay. i need people to understand the main issue here. ncuti gatwa is the first (full time) black doctor. his entrance was overshadowed by david tennant. his entire run has been the least watched run, many of you admit you did not watch his era. now, after only 16 episodes and a few specials he has regenerated and all people are talking about is billie piper. do you really not see the issue at all? and don't even get me started on what they did to belinda! i'm so BOGGLED by the amount of disrespect thrown at fifteen. he barely got to BE HIS OWN CHARACTER. we barely know him and he's gone. unreal.
