TRAVELOGUE : Triveni mela and bairath
Triveni mela is held every year at shahpura, a small village near Jaipur, rajasthan.
People from nearby villages come here to celebrate the festival holi on triveni dham, which is convergence of the two rivers, which had become dry long ago.

We reached shahpura around 9.30 pm,
Due to the lack of hotels, we had to stay in a dharamshala.
Day 1

We woke up around 5am due to the noise of prayer bells and drums coming from the temples ( a lot of temples there)
We got up and went to the tea stall which was just outside our dharamshala and had our morning tea.
Everything there was so peaceful, sound of native women whispering in groups walking by, children playing with anything and everything they can access, open fields and a very welcoming presentiment.

Our dog *Sherril* seemed to be the happiest among all.

The tea vendor told us about the only temple in the world of the wife of god brahma.
And we decided to go there after completing our sleep :P
The temple was at the top of the hill.

After climbing 500 steps

The view from the top

Made rock houses on the way
Day 2

The mela started early morning. People were still setting up their stalls, others were chilling and smoking hukka

After the mela, we left for bairath, which was about 2 hours away from triveni.

Bairath is famous for its god ganesha shaped rock inside the caves and small small temples.

It was a paradise for someone like me who is a lover of historic monuments and culture

You’ll find a lot of monkeys there who will not allow you to proceed to the next temple which was little higher than the previous one, but luckily we had sherril to scare them off.
There are also 2 small temples build on the top but there is no way to reach there.

Meeting Ladakh !!
you have been on my list since so many years but never got a chance to meet you.
how it would be seeing you for the first time ? it’ll be like landing on the moon.
that ‘deja vu’ experience i’m going to have when ill be there.. since i have imagined this endless times.
how ill be stunned by your magnificent beauty that will make me - an amateur photographer look professional, because every picture that ill click will have that picture perfect frame. and all those selfies that ill be clicking with you.

I am also very desperate to attend the two day fest which is held on the 10th day of Tibetan lunar month every year at the Hemis monastry
enjoy seeing lamas performing sacred mask dance and playing music from drums , cymbals and long horns
i will also visit ‘ The old Leh town’, to meet the people of ladakh and feel superfluous love
i will not forget to see the 17th century’s well restored Munchi Mansion.
and will be surprised to see the TSO PANGONG LAKE ; surprised by its clear blueness , ill lay down near the shore for hours and get lost in my thoughts
i will also get a chance to live in tents in the cold nights.
i will drive motorcycle for hours just to see the beauty of NUBRA VALLEY for capturing paaranoma of those high altitude desert landscape.
but first ill visit Lama Yuru monastery, the oldest and largest monastery of ladakh, to see monks in orange robes performing sacred rituals.
but most importantly ill meet you for the feeling of strange pull that will make me visit you again and again!!
