There’s always been something weirdly mystical to me about paper cranes

I can’t physically do intricate shit with my hands, like piano, or

Like a folding paper crane

So many times I’ve been taught or used like tutorials and shit to make them, but it just doesn’t work. My hands will twitch and flick and I won’t be able to get it looking like a crane.

But they’re so pretty. I’ve always wanted to have just so many of them on my desk or something. I used to read that book where a child makes just so many of them. I could never understand why I couldn’t make them

We were taught to in elementary school and I was the only one that the teacher had to make it for me

It feels so weirdly magic, to make or have a paper crane, for me, just cause you know I can’t DO that. I can’t make one.

I wonder if I can like…buy one? Is that stupid? Do people sell origami paper cranes anywhere?

Apperently I didn't need any time off, because I just finished Simple Diamond! (I'm gonna have someone play it and I need to make a main menu, but the game itself is fully realized!)

I didn't get over what happened but I guess having something to think about helped me!

The game should come out late tonight, or perhaps tomorrow.

Skip the preamble if you're not interested, but I'm gonna take a break for a few days from working on Simple Diamond because of personal issues, and I think I'm going to let myself a little more loose on here with what I want to post and stuff!

I never wanted to only post devlogs or stuff related to my games but I just sort of fell into that hole of being scared to post anything else (As if anyone reads my posts anyways- pffeh) so I'm gonna do more of what *I* want

I'm gonna update my intro post accordingly!

now the like actual devlog thing,,,

I finished all the final backgrounds and I'm onto the sprites! I might have gotten a bit ahead of myself with it,, (I'm barely done with the intro, have 30 sprites and need to make more ;-; )

But I'm so happy with what I have so far! I think, if I really bust my ass it could be done soon- if I can even get myself to work on it again anytime soon :p (I'm GREAT)

At this point you might not want to check it out, as it is final stuff for the game. So yeah.

They're not really beautiful but I worked hard on them! So

Totally thought I already said the writing was done

But it's done! A little over 6k

But today I finished all the drafts! The first few little test playthroughs are done with, and I'm really hopeful

I need to finalize things, and make sure all the endings are attainable

That's NOT a lot of stuff left to do!

The game could be done very soon.

Buuut

I still have to work on the game page, and I have to make the game a main menu screen

So a thumbnail, a summary (GOD I HATE WRITING THEM), and a menu. Being honest that shits gonna take me the longest.

But hey! I'm still happy that I'm as far on as I am right now. Things are looking good for a release before the month ends!

WE HAVE REACHED THE END HERE FOLKS

I'm at a sweet 5.5k and I'm almost sure I'll reach 6k by the time I'm done writing! It's almost done!

Meeeeeaning I can start doing the art- so here's hoping I end up with many doodles of Diamant free to share!

If not- hopefully it'll still just be nice to know things are almost done,, It'll probably take until about the deadline to get it FULLY done- since i really want to try and make it look nicer, but I'm just very excited!

This is actually my longest running project, both in how much time it's taken to make and how long it is in word count!

It's only going up from here

I keep forgetting to write these holy shit

Simple Diamond reached 5k words! Honestly I felt posessed (I wish I could write like that all the time I can't even write 1k a day usually)

ON ANOTHER NOTE

I uh, spent tonight working on another game

A new one, one that's not in my future game post. I got the idea today so it just kinda came out.

It's not long, but I DID just write it tonight sooo

yeah

It should be up tomorrow! (I'll link it when it is) It's certainly darker than the other games I have out now but not near as dark as some of the stuff I have planned XD So I guess I'm just kinda easing into the more triggering topics.

For now, I'm gonna work on the Itchio game page!

I totally missed last week huh, was a little distracted!

I've gotten to 3.3k words in my script, and I'm prepping to write more tonight! The goal is to finish all of the writing this month, then to do art and finalizing next month. Might have time to do a game for Blossom jam, but I'm trying not to rush with this one so I may just save that game idea for May. Tonight I'm hopefully going to finish up coding in some quick time events and padding out my draft,,

They get over a thousand requests for connection a day, but their email inbox is regularly sitting at 300-500 eSims. With the bombardment of Rafah and continual internet blackouts, the need for more eSims is particularly urgent.

Even if you have already sent an eSim or donated to an eSim donation drive, there is more you can do. The team is calling for people to campaign in their communities to help spread the word about eSims and encourage donations.
