Here is Trump’s plan to end US Democracy if he loses in November

1. Spread disinformation & myths suggesting that ballots are unreliable. This has already been done. (while it does exist, voter fraud has NEVER been a major problem in the USA, especially not by mail)

2. Pack the supreme court and abuse their power to FORCE a final count on November 3rd, before many mail ballots are counted (mail ballots will hugely favor joe biden due to socioeconomic factors, not fraud)

3. Declare votes counted AFTER November 3rd to be fraudulent.

The president has stated clearly that he does not want ballots to be counted properly, that he will not commit to a peaceful transference of power, and his cronies in the GOP, despite what they may say for optics, are 100% behind this sentiment of undemocratic takeover.

This is how Democracy dies. What can you do?

1. Arm yourself. Coups almost never play out peacefully and you may have to defend yourself if things go too crazy out there.

2. Vote for Joe Biden, early and in person if possible. No matter what state you are in - a higher majority of the vote will weaken claims that he only wins due to fraud.

3. Write to judges and representatives in your area. Tell them that forcing a final count before all of the votes are in is fundamentally undemocratic.

4. Purchase as many stamps and other USPS materials as possible, especially if you are in a swing state. Providing the USPS with additional funding, even in small amounts, can potentially speed up the collection & counting process in your area.

5. Organize and attend protests in your area, if possible. Make it clear to the supreme court that the will of the people will not be quietly subverted.

Warner Bros. is a shit publisher, who, regardless of a game’s sales or quality, will try to give their devs, QA teams and employees mass layoffs after a game’s been released. Like most publicly traded companies, WB is going to treat you, the developer, like ass regardless of if the game succeeds or fails.

Unless they’ve made a specific promise to the entire dev team in writing, any attempt by them to convince you (and by extension us) that the game’s sales performance will result in good things for you is most likely bullshit.

You have been paid a salary, already, based on probably ~1/2 of the labour you’ve been coerced into putting into the game. But don’t think for a second that it’s the boycotters who would be the ones hurting you if the game doesn’t do well. Power flows upward, not downward.

If you want to be treated well by your bosses, unionize. Now.

JK Rowling is Transphobic but PLEASE buy Hogwarts Legacy -- here’s why

As someone who worked on Hogwarts Legacy, please please please buy the game. It’s unfair that the hard work of hundreds of people– that the jobs of hundreds of people should be affected by a person that barely had anything to do with the actual work.  Whether or not the game does well doesn’t really affect JK. She’s already rich. She’s getting crazy revenue from every single Harry Potter merchandise in existence. Nothing will change that. 

Boycotting Hogwarts legacy won’t hurt Rowling. 

You’ll just hurt us. The people whose jobs rely on the game doing well. You’ll hurt the artists and writers that spent hundred of hours toiling away at a project that they love. We love Harry Potter.  Many of us grew up reading that series and plenty of us are Harry Potter nerds. Imagine, a Harry Potter game made by the kids and teens who grew up reading the books and watching the movies. As well as the adults who read those books to their kids.

Instead, donate money to your favorite trans charity. Stream the game and donate that money to organizations that teach of inclusion and love. Use Hogwarts Legacy to support the trans community BECAUSE Rowling will hate it. 

Don’t force your 11 year old self to miss out on something fun, beautiful, and magical. Use that righteous anger as a weapon of love instead.
