I got 100 followers in 48 hours.

Here’s how I was able to get to 100 followers extremely quickly: following! You can see that I followed 300 people and at this point 1/3 of them followed me back. Taking me only 48 hours to get most of my followers (Medium only allows you to follow 125 people per day). But how exactly I got such good numbers?

You gotta find a new story about follow for follow using the keywords follow for follow, f4f, 100 followers etc. If that story got engagement, it means that the author got a lot of followers from the followback community. So you just follow them and they will follow you back!

You can even use my followers to get followers, even if this story doesn’t do well, since virtually all of them do follow back! While you’re at it, make some friends and read some stories! You gotta have fun in the end of the day.

But let’s see if I get accepted as a partner now, another problem…

Where did you first heard about Earth 2?

From a Facebook ad of all things! Then I started heavily researching the company.

How much did you spent?

I initially started with 5k USD and then put another 50k over the next few weeks.

For how much you think you can sell your land?

I could probably get 300k I think. But im holding 😆

Have you withdrawn any money?

I have withdrew over 100k so far. Love this company.

Are you still buying?

Yep! I recently bought an entire large island in Fiji.

Do you have other investments?

I do! I own NFTs, Several crypto positions and stocks.

How do you honestly feel about owning this much land in one platform?

It can be risky. I know how it looks like to some, but im always in high risk investments so this is nothing new to me. High risk high reward!

I am retired. But to me I think retired is kicking back on the beach 24/7 without a care in the world. Im not there. At least not yet. While I dont need or have a job and im free to do whatever I want . Im busy either day trading. YouTube, or Swing trading. Im also a poker player that travels around the country.

Where do you own most of your land?

I’m the leader of tier 1 land in USA. I also own in South Korea and have land in 99% of the world of Earth 2!

What do you think of scamtubers?

I think it’s either 2 options. Either they are just straight ignorant and call things they don’t understand a scam. OR they are just doing it for the views. They know their audience and know if they attack companies they will boost their views and get paid more in ad revenue regardless of their personal opinion. It’s all about making money for them. (funny thing is they would make WAY more promoting the project than bashing it, through referral codes and land income tax, tile trading etc.)

Chaveztopia, the name, came from the game i was playing at the time. Polytopia. I thought adding topia to Chavez would be fitting.

It’s at one of the northern tips of Antarctica! Just below the international tiles!

The plan is to make the longest Main Street in the game. I believe we have that. Goal is to have shops on both sides of the street. And to have activities surrounding the shops

Looking back, here’s the moment I cherish the most as a recruit for the French Foreign Legion

I normally talk about Earth 2, it’s my escape valve and keeps my days interesting. But I figured that’s not all I want to talk about, I’ll certainly have more hobbies and experiences, I’m still 28 years old, so I changed my Medium name to my real name. Anyway, one of these experiences was placed in the French Foreign Legion, last year.

It was cold as hell, almost winter, night. It doesn’t matter, we were wearing shorts, standing (or waiting) in “paradise” (too good of a name for some barracks). It was freezing, shit, some europeans actually started staying closer to each other because of the cold. I don’t think a south american could start that, it’s too progressive.

But at that moment more and more guys reached out, trying to stay out of the cold, myself included. Everybody was trying to get hotter anyway they could. I remember all the people in two or three barracks doing jumping jacks and maybe another hugging group.

Alright, lots of strangers can work together, that was a win for humanity in my book (but nothing to brag about, lol). But what really struck me was when the idiots started singing “We Are the Champions”, again, myself included. Even the girly part.

We were the toughest, we were trying to join the FFL and we were the ones that hadn’t given up, we were feeling like we were ready for anything. If the commanders thought otherwise in selection they could suck a dick for all I care. We did our part.

I salute the ones who were able to pass, even the rats that were about to give up and selection were so shitty that it didn’t pick up on it. But takes a real one to know one. I may be too cool for France, but I’m still not scared of anyone, a soldier without a gun. We are the champions.

Years of Tinder (and other dating apps) turned me into a weirdo

Real story time. I first downloaded Tinder back in 2015 (most likely) and never spent a full year without it ever since. It’s like a small addiction, like nicotine. You smoke a little every day and it finally adds up, you have cancer.

I have the Tinder cancer (I’m brazilian, don’t ask me for better wording, I’m off the hook or at the very least don’t care enough). Years and years of online dating left me lazier and lazier.

“Oh, here’s sex on the first day”, “Oh, here’s sex on the first date”, “Oh, here’s sex on the first phrase” and now my brain thinks I can write just about anything and eventually find success in dating if I play the numbers game just long enough.

There’s no silver lining. A woman can look at me in real life and be more obvious than Trump’s hatred. I will not say a word, I wouldn’t know where to start. I can’t have a normal conversation even online and I blame the modern world.

I’m (Pacey) the founder, we then have the city council which consists of hippo48, spectrum, E2NWO, Hootscoot, RFLCT and myself. All of which own large areas of the city and will discuss what happens as we go forward. But each citizen is the king of their own plot. They can do as they like, we’re just here to help out if need be. 7 — It has alliances? Yes we’ve formed several alliances from Dorkslayer to Tian, The Vikings of Valhalla, Reflect, Hinksy Games, all of the council’s megacities and many others. I’m excited to see how the PVP element works in regards to this. 8 — How many members? Unless I manually checked every single tile within the city, I’m not sure it’s possible to know. 10 — Why was it created? FOMO. It got to E2 pretty late and always like the idea of having a megacity something I can build with others, promote and theme. The idea just really appealed but the cost of setting up was pretty high as I missed all the 10 cent tiles. I think my first Shoon City tiles were about 0.65. But there was a Earth 2 video that premiered, I can’t recall exactly which it was but it made me think that setting up a megacity is now or never. So I just went for it and added the first infrastructure. It’s grown a lot. Since then though. Massively helped by the release of T2 tiles. 9 — What’s the focus? The vision for phase 3 is “The playground of Earth” think sports, mini golf, karting, archery but also live music, carnivals, bars and such too. Wrapped in an solarpunk style. But for now we want to work as a community, help each other build and create somewhere that thrives in the ecosim. We’re never going to make it about, you need to jump through hoops to be part of what we’re doing or earn your rank and do all sorts of stuff outside of E2. Everyone here is equal, be that players with 1 tile or 750, $1 in their wallet or enough to buy twitter, I want that to show as the city progresses and it to become a place we’re all proud of. Get to know Earth 2's biggest guild: Dorkslayer (Q&A)

We will pool all resources back to Gibraltar to make it the most over the top place in game “Dorkslayer’s leader (BritishGuy) was nice enough to answer a lot of questions.

I want to write about more guilds and megacities. If you want to know more about another one, please let me know which in the comments. Without further ado, here’s the full and very insightful Q&A thanks to BritishGuy!

Q1: What is Dorkslayer?

The crazy name actually is very relevant to the metaverse. For anyone that has watched the movie “Ready Player One” by Ernest Cline Must have surely gone on to read the sequel “Ready Player Two” Dorkslayer is a reference to the most powerful object (in the books case a Sword) which is the only thing capable of taking back control over the evil AI system. Earth 2 and our Guild formed right at the same time that I was reading this book and searching for the right name to call our selves. It was just outside the box enough to get people to question it and yet then find the greater meaning.

Q2: Where are you located?

As a group we were pretty OG to the game. We set up as a guild on about the 12th December 2020. Obviously for any decent MMRPG game you need to set up some type of Hierarchy or leadership. We did this by finding a few loyal people and having an epic PURGE of players who did not follow the rules. As a group we were and still are open to everyone. There were a few power struggles at the start but they were soon put to bed.

If you go to the map one of the first tasks to find who were going to be the leaders of this new group was to find people who could follow basic instructions before we revealed quite where our main base was going to be formed. If you go to the map and type in “Poland” you will see a small cluster of Gibraltar flags. This was a forming of the original group. Some people have stepped away from the group since then and so they flags are no longer GIB but you can see the majority of players stuck with the Guild which I think is pretty cool.

After we had a select few people who could follow instruction we launched our march from Malta where we were testing out the game mechanics on into Gibraltar where we bought out the entire land mass of the country in about 24 hours. It was pretty epic and the first of its type. Many people have since set up Mega cities. We are still the only Guild to boast a Mega country. Watch the video below for a reveal of the first video we did.

Q3: How many tiles do players own?

If you go to the leader board and look for how many tiles are owned by people flying out banner flag you can see that we are 12th on the global leader board with over 1,211,000 titles owned by us. Other country flags of course will own more tiles but I still belive as a core unit we hold the most as an active guild.

Q4: How many players are there?

This is hard to tell. Our discord has over 650 members and our FB group has over 3500. I wish I had a firm number of how many people fly the Gibraltar flag in game but I don’t think there is a way to tell yet.

Q5: What’s the vision?

The most important thing to remember with DORKSLAYER is that we are the gaming guild. We are here for fun. We don’t shill the project as a get rich quick game as that is not the type of economy we want to put forward. It’s not the way to create a healthy economy inside a game. We are the generation of gamers who were brought up on Runescape, Diablo, WOW etc we know guilds and gaming and most importantly how to trade. We are the trading nation of E2. Even if Gibraltar turns out to not have that many resources our players own in pretty much every major city in game we will pool all resources back to Gibraltar to make it the most over the top place in game. We have the benefit of economy of scale. Not to mention we also hold a nice share of blue dots. Which we shared with all the players. We believe in everyone playing on the same level playing field. We like to make sure people are not taking advantage of any exploit or if we can’t help patch it or fix it at least give it to everyone so all are on the same playing field.

Q6: How to become a member?

This is the easiest part. 1. Fly the Gibraltar flag in game 2. Add dorkslayer to your ingame name. 3. Buy a couple of cheap sea tiles in Gibraltar so that you have a place to call home when we start to build. Congratulations you are now a member of DORKSLAYER.

Q7: Are there roles?

We have a few different people who are interested in different aspects of the promised game. Some like what Drone will become and so we have a dedicated channel in discord for training and competitions there. Some like the crypto aspect and while E2 is based on FIAT we know it will go to the Polygon blockchain. Many people have no idea about crypto so we have a channel based around helping to teach people how to make transactions and onchaing them. Obviously E2 and trading is a huge part of our guild so we have many trading conversations ongoing and im sure things will only grow as we are able to do and build more. Play to earn has been a revolution for gaming I’m not sure if you quite know how plugged into all this DORKSLAYER is but here is a recent interview based around blockchain gaming I put together with some pretty OG ppl. https://youtu.be/Pn6LD0I8K_8 I’m more interested in Building the metaverse and understanding the Web 3 movement than I am of simply flipping bitcoin or should we say tiles….

Q8: Is it pvp focused?

For a group our size its hard to say if everyone will agree. We have said time and time again that we want to work with everyone and that everyone is welcome to join us. We have at the time of writing this E$946,985.66 credits spent under our Gibraltar flag so I’m going to go with we are powerful should we need it. Anyone that wants to join an alliance in one way or another is more than welcome. We have suggested a friends of dorkslayer tag line for this or maybe a new graphic they can incorporate into their flag so we know they are under our protection and open to trade. Anyone found not to have something like this on their profile is at the end of the day open for attack. It seems the most simple way.

Q9: What’s the website?

We have a few links you can take a look around. Our main one at the moment is based around our DAO as many people will remember we broke the community when I last tried to show case how NFTs could work. I ended up trading one for $5 as a proof of concept and let me tell you they came out after my blood. We continued developing and are of course still here.

We stealth launched our DAO we did not want to Shill it or over promise but wanted to play with it. So we used it as a way to crowd fund for our loot box there is a medium article you can read more about this and join us if you want. Over 25% of our collection has sold out and the second essence is linked to the blockchain we will sell out 100% of the collection. We raised over $5000 so far and bought some diamond and platinum land is other metaverses for our Guild.

Q10 : Is it the biggest guild on E2?

I would say not only are we the largest Guild but we are also the oldest forming back on the 12th December 2020 we really were one of the first to set up a home base and organise ourselves as a group of people online for the game.

Q11: Who’s the leader(s?)

There is a core group that chat and share info down the channels. BritishGuy — GrandMaster — Tellus — E2NWO — Krepo — VR7 — Unity — Money_Matters are just some of the names you will be most familiar with over on discord. There are many others and i’m grateful for all their support. They all help to keep the nearly 4000 members informed and in check. Resin was late to the party but is also a great aid haha. I won’t Doxx real names as this is web 3 and the metaverse afterall. Wait and keep an eye on the website if your keen to see all the ppl.

Q12: Why be a member / Perks / Useful resources

We originally set up the guild with a in game bank based on our referral code all funds were then split out to our core group to help build Gibraltar. Again most people called it a scam and did not understand what it was being offered to them. Only a certain type of mind set really got it and those are the people I like to surround myself with. People who believe that we can do stuff and trust someone on the other side of the world. The guild bank has paid out thousands into guild. Since land purchases has slowed we have turned it into the residual income for the DAO token and are able to fun give aways with the NFTS funded by this. The great thing with our DAO is unlike other collections people tried to launch around E2 our collection holds intrinsic value. We did not just withdraw the money and go down the pub. Instead we said anyone who owns an NFT owns a % share of the loot chest equal to the amount of nfts you own out of the 1066 collection so far 268 have sold. I belive within the Loot chest we have 0.5 $leash locked and the 2 parcels of land we own are probably worth about 2 ETH now along with a nice land parcel in Gibraltar. Being apart of dorkslayer is not about financial gain. It is for the education that you yourself can then put to use. Plus its just fun right !!

Interesting tip.

Gibraltar class 1 land New land value E$2.86 most would never sell Gibraltar land as its gold dust in E2 but when they do you they typically trade for anywhere from $8 per tile for large plots upto even $20 for a single land tile. No other area on the map trades like this. Even at these prices today that is still 600% above market value. Remember most class 1 was sold out for $0.21–$0.24 so todays increase is nearly 4000% on those prices. As a % increase I challenge anyone to show me a country with this trading history. Not a single sale such as a famous land mark.

Deep dive: how to use Earth 2 jewels

They work pretty much exactly as described… Shocker!

Okay, this data was collected a while ago, the essence distribution changed. But the principle still applies. If you don’t have any jewels, expect 39% less essence than you’d get fully slotted and 54% less than fully slotted with +3's.

Here’s the tricky part: you won’t be able to tell the difference by heart if you only own a few tiles. This is where a lot of people fail to realize that jewels do work. i2Earth for once needed 37.500 T1 tiles to get low two digits benefits from slotting. But they were worth it!

But I’ll leave you with some food for thought: if you have a single tile, you could double your essence instead by just purchasing another tile. Slotting is useless if you can double your production for a few cents instead, so don’t do that.

Things get interesting if you have 750’s or close to that. From this data alone, we can understand that a fully slotted 750 with +3’s would give you 1 essence per day, instead of half an essence if left unslotted. Here’s the value.

Since jewels boosts all tiles at once, next time you think about Essence production, consider slotting only your biggest properties, understanding that they don’t do magic, but they are pretty good for your buck if you use it wisely.

And follow me, your Essence production will double if you do (well it’s not impossible to happen).

Here’s what no one told you about Earth 2’s Essence

If you’re somewhat deep into Earth 2 it’s no surprise that the yield of jewels are a bit weird. Having small properties helps you to get more. We learned, we adapted, we finally bought a lot of “singles”. We had nerfs but the principle still holds.

But what if I told you that Essence works in the same way? Ask the koreans. I wouldn’t be able to figure it out without their hint. If you need further evidence, well, just today I only got 10 essence on Stage 2 (40K 53x750 T2), my main account (40K 40000x1 T2) got 40 instead! That’s enough deviation to call it a day.

Smaller properties not only yield more jewels, but also essence!

Getting Earth 2: basic beginners guide — April 2022

I got you beginners… It’s long overdue, I’ll focus more on what Earth 2 is instead of what it can or will be.

Part 1: properties.

What’s a property? It’s land that currently consists of 1 to 750 10x10 tiles.

What are the types of properties? Tier 1 and Tier 2 (T1>T2). Click here for more information.

Can I upgrade my property? Not yet, you’ll be able to upgrade it in the near future using Essence.

What are the perks? Land produces Essence, jewels and Land Income Tax (LIT) right now. Resources are coming in the near future.

What can my properties hold? Mentars, Holobuildings and EPLs. More EcoSim buildings in the future.

Part 2: perks.

What’s Essence? It’s Earth 2’s currency. It’s going to be a token on Q3. You can claim every day after you have enough tiles. You already can improve jewels and get EPLs with it.

What are jewels? Jewels serves as buffs to your Essence production by creating more Ether (X E-ther = X Essence). More buffs including resource production boosts to come. T3 jewels > T2 > T1. You can claim every day after you have enough tiles.

What are resources? Resources will be needed to create almost everything inside Earth 2. There are 8 confirmed: oil, coal, gold, limestone, freshwater, wood, sand and iron. They will be found in the real location corresponding to Earth 2’s map (i.e oil will “spawn” if you own real world oil fields).

What is LIT (Land Income Tax)? It’s money given for T1 property holders on a daily basis if users buy properties in countries you already have.

Part 3: mentars, holobuildings and EPLs.

Mentars are the EcoSim buildings that can detect E-ther and consequently produces Essence. You get a free mentar after logging in for a few days.

Holobuildings serves as storage for resources (soon) and they cost real money.

EPLs are unique domain names for your properties and future teleporter.

Zuckerberg says you should check the metaverse… Buys more Hawaiian real estate instead

Take the metaverse with a grain of salt.

Look, I’m not a total contrarian, I can see and bet on trends, and I know how well this translates in investing, but this article isn’t about that.

Here’s what I think (it’s an opinion okay? You know, opinions?): you should treat the metaverse based on where you are from!

Let me explain: if you’re from a poor country, alright, the metaverse looks great. We know filipinos already making enough money to get out of poverty with Axie Infinity. You could find work. And entertainment on these countries can be lacking. I get it, take what you can.

Now if you’re from a developing country, kinda like myself, on the low end (Brazil), you should look into opportunities like investing, selling… Overall hard work. Of course you can just chill on VR Chat every now and then but let’s be honest, getting a few dollars is still of great value and on our minds.

And things are interesting if you’re from a developed country. You already invested in the metaverse anyway, but you probably should’ve invested more. You will be able to shop, chat and play without having to worry about how to make money out of this thing. You’ll have the best time and get the most value. But, if you close your eyes, you’re a great candidate to fall into Zuckerberg’s trap and be his most valued zombie!

We all should strive for real life experiences (and fine, fun!), but if you use the metaverse wisely, it almost paradoxically could help you with that. Hamlet asked it first: “To be or not to be?” you have to be!

Is this proof that improving Earth 2 is not only possible, but easy? (not a dev, not dev advice)

Someone created the “missing piece” of Earth 2 all by himself. And no, it wasn’t Callum.

Dark Sky Invasion, UE4

A solo brazilian dev just showcased his project: Dark Sky Invasion. There is pretty much what Earth 2 v1 would lack: an avatar and “man vs drones”.

In the best case scenario, I understand we’ll be able to fly drones on Earth v1 by the end of the year and even PvP. Pretty good already if you ask me, but add avatars or characters with weapons and we have a party!

Drone vs Drone, Man vs Drone, Man vs Man? Everything at once? This brazilian dev just showed the world how “easy” it is to make a great game. The downside is that Earth 2 actually runs on Unity or it should totally buy Dark Sky Invasion! So we could walk around the earth sooner than later!

I understand how difficult creating the “close terrain system (v2)” for the whole world should be, but watching awesome talent like this should give us all hope that after the foundations are finished, we could get great gameplay.

I dreamed about Earth 2 yet again. How could Earth 2 V1 Cinematic Trailer looks like?

Lol. This is my second dream about Earth 2. Must be because I wrote my last article before going to bed. And it was too good to be true.

Aaand scene: the camera is looking at a person for a few good seconds, this person is looking up, you can see it in his eyes that there’s a lot to look at Earth 2 and he’s so interested. Earth 2 players likes to look at spaceships and drones instead of the floor.

It was exactly what he was looking at. The camera moves to a spaceship squadron. These guys landed and made a home for themselves in no time.

But forget about that, now we get a taste of the gameplay! Drones running very fast, the sound is like F1 cars, it’s almost hypersonic; they start killing each other with advanced weaponry: lazers, plasma guns, we really get a taste of what Drone: The Game could be if it was a little faster and without UI.

In the last scene we get two drones flying to the space, and the space make them unstable, but they don’t care. They keep fighting beyond infinity…

How much did I earn from Earth 2 in 1 year

It started right in Poland: “E$6.26 2021–03–10 Earth2 - FarmMeta”.

What a nice place would it be to live, I like the cold since I don’t get much here in Brazil.

I didn’t know much, all I was looking for was a place to invest that could hold value, and I trusted Shane enough to believe he wouldn’t rug pull.

1 year, 1 month and 1 week later though, I have something to show.

I originally spent $4k in march!

But my land is worth $6k (considering the floor on the marketplace)

Laughs in +50%.

Add another $1k in Essence ($0.1 each with jewel upgrading) and we are at +75%.

Add another $1k in withdraws and I got a 100% return with Earth 2 in one year.

Before I forget: I make $400 per month (jewels + essence). Bullish! We don’t even have resources or exchanges yet…

But I’m not saying it was easy. as a matter of fact, it was incredibly difficult. I straight up changed literally all my portfolio 3 times in 1 year! I see it potentially happening in the future again as Shane creates Earth 2 on the go.

It’s been a crazy ride and it’s already complex. I’m excited for the future and if everything I touched gave me a 100% return and 10% passive income per month, I wouldn’t be here lol.
