☣ Even though he was practically nothing, in the way many would not understand the spirit did hold great power over everything emotional despite how strong one was. He didn't care about how others felt as long as they knew his pain and their own pain, giving them the need to die or at least want to. That kind of power gave him a motive to bring pain to the living so that they will suffer as well. Other ghostly entities did the same thing when they were in pain.
And because of this said ability the Depression was able to just do anything he pleased and wanted despite all the things that happened. Past, future or presence -- he simply did not care.
His face changes though into the familiar dark haired God that Daichi knew very well -- it was only a change of hair color and eyes, that smirk widening when he could feel how bright this ones soul was. He pulls back with a wince and then closed his eyes while he could start to feel his own grief building.

Same coloured hair, same coloured eyes -- just that he looked bit older than the Apollo the Shining One knew.
"Say it again, and see what happens. You're going to regret it."
Daichi trembled. He…he just passed right through. Like the guy wasn’t there…
But, dammit, then why-? Why could he still feel him? Why did it still hurt? Why couldn’t he move? This was so not fair. Eyes wide, he tried to swipe again at the spirit, hands clawing and slashing. “No way in hell! You’re not an extension of me!”
Anything to keep fighting. To keep his blood burning, rushing. Anything to stop time from freezing, to keep him suspended in his world of life and color. He didn’t care how stupid he looked, even on his knees, scratching at nothing. “No, I don’t. Get the hell away from me! You have nothing to do with me…!”
Nothing. Nothing. Nothing! How was nothing such a strong word for its wispy, transient nature? His ferocity battled with the encroaching emptiness, the bitter cold eating at his bones, roaring as Depression left bruises on his arms. Why is nothingness so strong? He thought of the Void, of the seven days of the world being eaten away, the imminent erasure of an existence that was so small, so pointless…
He clutched his head and hid his face against the ground. Don’t think about that, he told himself, reason and Shijima-born determination battling it out with the artificial melancholy. Think, dammit…! About your friends! About your home! About the next big thing! Friends who he hadn’t seen in a while. Friends who forgot. His best friend was afflicted, even, by the poison of the world, the trouble of modern society cranking along like a machine, caring not for the cogs that broke because so many were waiting to replace them. No! No!
The pain made his eyes water, but still, stubbornly, he held on. Like the Shining soul he was said to be. …This is so stupid! "You are NOT an EXTENSION OF ME!"
