Got a gimmick asking about Nutmeg Tiger x Marshmallow Bunny on my strawpage, and even though it doesn't really appeal to me, I'll be open-minded and let them enjoy what they like! Perks of being a multi-shipper after all! They get to have a silly lil doodle for the gimmick!

Speaking of Colorful Stage, I was wondering if you could give me advice for something. I had the idea of a Colorful Stage x my OCs au for a fic. I have...a few ideas, but nothing solid yet. Hatsune Miku...doesn't really exist, FULLY, in the furry world that I have. Earth is dead but many many remnants still linger in the new world, you dig? So I was thinking, everybody with a Sekai, maybe 3-5 OCs, would have their own individual furry/feathered Miku of sorts telling them "hey you're repressing some serious shit, sing those feelings out"

In your opinion, how would this best be approached? :O Asking you bc you're very passionate/know a LOT about Colorful Stage.

a good question to ask! i did think of one idea that could work:

you know how the vocaloids appear like holograms when visiting outside of their sekais? you could make her into a weak hologram who doesn't visit outside of her sekai often due to the light for her dimming/not working.

the appearance for each miku would change depending on the sekai too, so that's something to keep in mind too.

as for approaching the mikus telling the characters how to sing to stop repressing their emotions, that could also come from how the sekai was made + what it was made for. if the sekai was made like the wondershow one, the miku there could help them be themselves! if it's like nightcord's, that miku could tell them that they can make songs to vent their feelings, and people would end up enjoying it! more more jump's miku helps them pursue being an idol group. leo/need's miku helps with their dream of being a rising band. vivid bd squad's miku helps them achieve their goal of surpassing rad weekend and going even further.

all in all, it all really comes down to what the miku and sekai were both made for + the people that helped make it and their intents/goals.

Hi Kei! I have not played Project Sekai/Colorful stage in AGES...what all has changed...? This is your chance to be an unskippable cutscene, if you wanted. LOL. Love seeing your presence on my feed! Hope you're keeping your head above water!

Well, if you haven't played since before the 3rd anniversary, a major change is the UI change.

Another thing that came with the 3rd anniversary update is the change in lighting/shadows on the card arts! This is due to the devs using the cards itself over cutouts of the characters whenever they pop up in the middle of a song for the little interactions they do.

The Japanese server has already had their 4th anniversary last year, and this year will have their 5th anniversary while Global will have the 4th anniversary update this year.

Related to the cards thing: Because of the experimenting with lighting + shadows thing the artists on the team are able to do, you get gorgeous cards like these!

All four of these are currently only available on the Japanese server, but you can tell that they're having so much fun with being able to pull off beautiful products of their work like these!

Aside from that, at some point after the 3rd anniversary (i think around the 4th anniversary update), they removed the 99 energy limit, but I haven't discovered what the "new limit" is in-game. Definitely a positive change.

There's also a feature that'll get added with the 4th anniversary that lets you customize a plot of land that has a house on it, and you can do quests to get rewards like crystals!
