Before the travel, he returned to the place he once called kingdom after waking up from the effects of the Silver Tree to find his kingdom devastated and destroyed with very few survivors

Most of which had lost their faith in him. As in their perspective: the king had suddenly disappeared with no warning, a strange person carrying his Soul Jam took over his throne before going mad with power and taking out almost everyone, only for said king to return years and years later

The once thriving kingdom had been redused to a small and struggling village where survival was not guaranteed. After countless attempts to fix whatever was left of his poor kingdom, most inhabitants had lost all hope

After one last attempt to get his people back, Burning had announced that he would be leaving Beast-Yeast as he understood he was no longer welcomed in his own home, strangely, 4 families came foward and begged him to take their children with him, since the destroyed lands were far from safe and the childern's health and future were rigged from the start

Now. Years later, the last survivors of the Spice Kingdom were left with very little memories of their true home, altho they dont see Spice as their king, they still see him as their guardian

Random headcanon: I think Burning Spice Cookie, as well as the other spice tribes, all speak Spanish

I know that design wise Burning Spice Cookie’s origins are closer to Egyptian mythology and Hindu mythology, but for some reason the spice cookies just give me Spanish-speaking vibes, especially Burning Spice himself for some reason
