Last time he was out, Zahur destroyed all barriers preventing him from running under my bed or getting to the spicy noodles under my desk, so I had to give him some lap time while fixing it. (He ripped it out of my hand otherwise lol)

He does not enjoy lap time.

She came with the name, is almost 8 months old and a very talkative lady. She‘s also extremely scared and tries to leap off / run under anything she sees, as soon as she has the chance! (Don‘t worry, I had one of those before and should know how to handle it)

RIP Vaiana

Hey, remember me saying my guinea pig might have to go to the vet? Well, while trying to get an appointment, she kept getting worse. Since my usual vet was sick, I had to try and get a different one.

„Arthrosis“ she said. „Give her pain meds and Vitamin C“, also shamed me for giving them small amounts of (soft) pellets. That was Thursday.

Friday my girl wasn‘t better. Might have to just wait I thought… she was still eating, walking not so much. Just wiggling. Barely moving forward. Dragging her feet somewhat behind.

Saturday I took them out again, tried to get her to walk. She barely did, barely wanted to eat as well. Barely pooped.

Sunday she was just lying there. Found an emergency vet. A way better one. They actually said no, it‘s not arthrosis. We gotta do X-rays. Ah fuck, costs alot, but maybe there‘s hope?

Pics came in. Belly was full of cancer. That’s why the pain meds didn’t even help anymore. Could’ve saved her 4 days of pain, if the first vet had listened to me more carefully. I had to let her go. Stayed with her till the end. Apologized for not noticing earlier.

She was probably the loudest piggy I‘ve ever had. Almost ruptured my ear drums every weekend I overslept breakfast lol. The cutest little teddy face.

I‘ll miss you, little princess.

And yes, don‘t worry. I’m not leaving Zahur alone. Made sure to find him someone, even though I‘m not ready yet. I‘ll show the little bugger off, when she‘s a little more comfortable. Zahur seems okay and has started eating more since his new girl arrived again.

Sorry for the long, sad post. I just needed to get that off my chest. Next one is gonna be cute stuff again, I swear!

My boy finally used the bed, I‘ve been waiting on someone to use for YEARS!

He also tried using it as a hat. Also hit himself with it, but I couldn‘t get it on camera lol.

My girl is just… chilling? I think her issues are back, gonna schedule a vet visit on Monday (can‘t afford a weekend trip that‘s like 3x the price)

Back from my vacation with my boyfriend (for a week already, but no one has to know)

The creature has been born!

It doesn’t really look like planned, but I‘m still proud of the outcome! Fully posable, the white spots do show up and I love the eyes!

All in all pretty good for my first art doll project

Oh yeah! It‘s been months and I forgot to update!

So anyway my little friend is shave ready by now.

First I finally got myself to use the airbrush I got, and it actually worked! (With some starter issues)

The head is painted with a layer of white and pink to give it some shape, and to not have grey show through.

After that I added the ears, cut them, glued them and sowed the edges to the holes in the neck.

After that I started furring the head. This took way too long and I had to switch glue, cause I already ruined his tiny toe bean holders (which I still have to fix up)

The head is now fully furred, the muzzle glazed with resin to make it shiny.

Now I only need to shave my creature and it will be done! It also has a horn now 👀

She‘s done! (At least I think so for now)

Even though she‘s been my Octo for years now, (since Splat 3 came out), she doesn‘t even have a name.

I still don‘t know what I wanna call her, but I‘m thinking real hard about it. Suggestions are welcome!
