I have been on a song kick lately as you may have noticed. Today, I am taking a rare break from Mew and Mewtwo to focus on my favorite Pocket Monsters song. This is "Minna ga Ita Kara" ("Because Everyone was There") sung by Matsumoto Rica. She is the voice of Satoshi (Ash)... and I must say, is a fantastic singer. This song was included in the soundtrack for the second movie. 

I do suggest that you watch "Revelation Lugia" if you have yet to do so. It is so much better than the dubbed version ("The Power of One"), although luckily didn't suffer as much editing as the first movie upon dubbing. ...You know, I just remembered something - that there was an Ancient Mew card at the end of the second movie. So you know what? I'm going to include a Mew tag in this post anyway. There. Yay!

"Suteki na Collection" ("Wonderful Collection") is a song from the "Kaze to Issho ni" ("Together with the Wind") single. It features Sachiko Kobayashi and Raymond Johnson. I'll be honest - I didn't know what to make of this song the first time I heard it years ago. It has a strange Indian feel to it, which is something unexpected from Pocket Monsters. It's somewhat grown on me, though. Fun facts: As was stated in a previous post, Sachiko Kobayashi also voiced Voyager/Miranda. Raymond Johnson played the character Raymond, who is the pirate that battled Satoshi/Ash in "Mewtwo Strikes Back". I have to thank Bulbapedia for that information -- I didn't even know that the pirate guy has a name until just now. Meh... since I'm talking about Raymond (a character I don't even normally give a second thought to), he screams "OH MY GOD!!!" in English after being defeated by Satoshi. It is fricken' hilarious. I really wish they kept that in the dub, but of course 4Kids would have suffered the wrath of offended parents. Because, like, you know, kids have never heard "OH MY GOD!!!" before >_>

A question...

I know there are some Mew and Mewtwo roleplayers on tumblr, but to my knowledge there isn’t a single Ai (Amber) roleplayer. I imagine this character would be somewhat difficult to play. As much as I adore her, her personality is static as she never got to develop. Furthermore, she’s dead. If I were to cast those two elements aside though, I do think she would be a great character and beneficial especially to the Mewtwo players. I’d like to get to know my followers more, and I think stepping into the roleplay world would help with that. I do have roleplay experience (I was the original Lucario back on Myspace years ago and I was relatively well-known), but I will admit… I’m rusty. I did register the username “aitwo” here. I am willing to use that account for roleplaying. What do you all think?  Cross-posted to the new blog @mewmewtwo.

I blogged this before but I'm doing it again. Here is a video featuring illustrations from the booklet that comes with the "Myuutsu no Tanjou" ("The Birth of Mewtwo") radio drama. The song, "Kaze to Issho ni" ("Together with the Wind") is the ending theme to the first movie. Fun fact: The singer, Sachiko Kobayashi, voiced for Voyager (Miranda). Voyager also appeared in the Japanese teaser trailer -- she's the woman alongside the older Kasumi.

Note: The brown-haired Rocket at 4:35 is Mondo. He has nothing to do with Myuutsu. He is a "background character" who assisted Musashi, Kojiro and Nyarth (Jessie, James and Meowth) with supplies during the Kanto era, and is in a different radio drama. Q: Why are you moving the blog? A: For ease in communication. When I first started FYTM, I didn't expect that it would be my main tumblr project, so I made it a secondary blog.
