Oh, I'm sorry, I wasn't aware that trauma was a game to you. If it's so easy to just stop being traumatised, then you should've said something to Elain about that a whole book ago? Or perhaps said something to Mor 5 centuries ago. Since Cassian made it clear 50 times a day that he's 'seen it before' and 'knows what she's feeling' or whatever, he must clearly be the expert on the situation. Imagine how much easier life will be now that everyone can just stop being traumatised.

Let's be serious for a moment though, if it was that easy, Cassian might have actually stopped making himself the victim in every scenario regarding Nesta throughout all of ACOFAS and ACOSF.

The fact SJM wrote it so Cassian, who said shit like this, was the one in the right the whole time in ACOSF makes me wanna puke.

I don't know about you guys, but I've always found Azriel to be the most boring character of them all.

I always saw him as the character who is just a pretty label with a sad past, but personality? Deepening? Complexity? I've never seen.

Typical quiet guy who thinks he knows everything.

Rhysand literally broke Feyre's arm for reasons of greed and selfishness here, but it's Tamlin, whose intention was never to hurt her in the first place, who is the aggressor, the abuser.

Do yall remember ACOTAR when Rhysand grabbed Feyre's exposed BONE of her broken arm and twisted it? Cause that scene kept popping up in my head reading... the whole rest of the series. Nobody was around, nobody to see. He didn't have to do all that lmao

He refuses to acknowledge there might be other women in the Hewn city like Mor who don't want to be used as a brood mare and most likely forced into marriages.

He got rid of an entire group of people who had been running the court for probably centuries, for his friends with no experience whatsoever and expects others to listen to them 🫠

He lets Keir have power over Hewn city even though he's HL?!

He doesn't govern the Hewn city he terrorizes it and tortures its people

He continues to let the Illyrians treat their women like shit

He only cares about Velaris, even though towns are mentioned in acomaf

But do we ever see him go to any of them? Help rebuild after Amarantha?

Which making Feyre High Lady was a terrible decision (I will die on this hill)

She has no idea about their history, politics, culture. She's only been in the NC for three months..

They need something to base their argument that Rhysand was good from the start, while Tamlin showed problems from the start. The mistake here is in admitting Tamlin's anger problem, because you automatically invalidate Rhysand's lame justification for sexually abusing Feyre...

If Tamlin has anger issues and a short fuse, why would people believe he needed extra motivation to kill Amarantha? Anti's have been saying that he's been waving red flags the whole first book, but when it matters most his anger is nonexistent.

I guess if Rhysand says it, it must be canon.

The fact that they couldn't give us a scene of Alicent enduring her teenage pregnancies and worriedly confiding in her father which could've garnered some level of sympathy, but instead they gave us scenes of-

An underage Aegon masturbating.

An original character for adult!Aegon to SA.

A Green Council that completely reduces Alicent's involvement.

Child fighting pits.

More SA directed at Alicent from Larys Strong.

A completely illogical scene of Rhaenys and Meleys crashing through the dragonpit and murdering countless civilians.

...all of which could've been devoted to worldbuilding that actually explained why Alicent and the rest of the Greens feel as justified in their wariness towards Viserys and Rhaenyra's lackluster decision making.

They gave us so many unnecessary scenes that exist purely for shock value. It’s a cheap attempt at drumming up the feelings people had during seasons 1-4 of GOT.

And by doing this they lost critical time where they could produce actual nuance for both sides. Show the real reason that team green doesn’t and shouldn’t give a crap about what Viserys wanted, and why they had every right to pursue their claim.

We got to see Rhaenyra have a miscarriage but not a single scene of Alicent giving birth (much younger and scared and crying for her mother)?! We got to see Rhaenyra marry Daemon in an uncomfortable and boring blood ritual but not Alicent’s wedding where she had the opportunity to voice or show her displeasure in her circumstances and see how creepy Viserys is marrying a child?! We get a bunch of scenes of Viserys caring about, and doing things for, Rhaenyra but no scenes of Viserys rebuffing and intentionally ignoring his children (except the driftmark fight but again that’s showing him standing up for Rhaenyra more than ignoring the team green kids).

If we actually got scenes showing Alicent suffering instead of implying it and hoping that (intentionally obtuse) fans will get the picture, and scenes showing just how different Viserys mistreats his other kids compared to Rhaenyra instead of having characters just say it out loud. We might have had a show that produced more fans that are on the fence. But instead we have a show that uses critical time trying to shock you with illogical death, SA, and generally uncomfortable sex scenes. Thereby overshadowing any opportunity for people to understand team green and sympathize with them
