Quote
No matter how far you get ahead of me, I’m still gonna catch you’’.
Usian Bolt
I chose this quote because I always love being positive at meets and even if i’m only racing a friend. Also when I compete with my brother I always tell him even if you are ahead of me i’m still going to catch up.

“You only see obstacles when you take your eyes off the goal’’
https://hockeyperformanceacademy.com/20-motivational-field-hockey-quotes/
I chose this quote because when I look ahead and pay attention to past the finish line where my goal was I usually don’t feel pain or stress. But when I look around and don’t really pay attention I fall behind and may slowly begin to feel a bit of pain.

Track and Field
Track and field is a combination of running events on a track and field. Running events are 1600(mile),800,400,200, and lastly 100 meter events. Field events are long jump where you run forty meters and then you jump and try to land as far away from the beginning of the sand pit that you jumped into as possible. Then there is Javelin where you have a stick and there’s kind of an arrowy front and three kind-of propellers at the back and you throw it and want to throw as far as you can to get the best score. Lastly there is shot put where you have a six pound ball and you stand in a circle and rotate yourself while you push the ball into your neck then you launch the ball off your arm and try to have it hit the ground as far away as possible because they measure from where the dent in the ground is not from where it rolls too. Their is also an event called discus throwing where you throw a discus and it has to land in between a marked section and they have one and a half spins and then they release it and hope for the farthest length away. Now here is some background about track and field track is derived from the venue their which is a stadium with an oval track surrounding a grass field where the throwing and jumping events happen, this sport is one of the oldest sports starting with the ancient greeks and still continuing now. So if you are ever debating what event you want to compete in or where to go for this event just read over this and decide.

Mohamed Farah or Mo as he is usually called is the U.K’s best long distance runner. Last year he won a gold medal in the Summer Olympics in Rio. In this GIF he is running and like always enjoying himself, he takes a sip of water spills the rest on his head drops the bottle and runs on continuing to enjoy himself.

¨Usian Bolt is a Jamaican sprinter and is known as the fastest human alive! He retired in 2017 after championships saying goodbye to all of his popularity, and almost crying” stated BBC.com. Bolt started running at the age of nine after playing cricket up until then and has only gotten better although he has now left one career there are still many other sports that his running skills can help him in so only time can tell what he will do next.

Running is a sport that has existed since the Greeks were here and is still currently a thing (a really big thing). Running used to be just a thing that Greeks would compete in to train for military and to build up stamina. The Greeks mostly tried to entertain there gods by competing in athletic activities such as running, discus throwing, boxing etc.

Quote
Don't dream of winning train for it.
Mo Farah
I chose this quote because I always used to talk about how I would want to win but because I´m lazy I never wanted to go out and run in my own time. Then I joined a track team and I learned that to win you have to train your hardest and now I train more and always think about this quote when I have a hard time running in competitions and practices.

Why are spikes on the bottom of your track shoes good? They are good because they help you grip the track when your running so you have a better chance to not lose speed from tripping or sliding back. They are also lighter shoes so you have a better toe spring when you spring off from your running start or your block.
