      “you  having a girlfriend isn’t surprising.”    but it being  her  might be.    and maybe that’s her whole mountain of self-hatred talking,    but she herself still can’t believe that a guy like him would choose someone like her.    it feels like a dream pretty much all the time,    but bree’s so damn happy,    in love  even if she won’t admit it,    that she definitely isn’t going to try and wake herself up.    “but no matter what you say,     this is good,    diego.    it’s a good start.”    she squeezes him slightly,    leaning into his chest.    “we can go see her  for real  when we get out of all this.”

❝ well, since i never brought girls home to meet the family, yeah, she’d probably be a bit surprised. ❞ he shrugs, but he’s still smiling. she has that affect on him. ❝ so, uh... ❞ nerves pump adrenaline through his veins as butterflies fill his stomach. how can this girl get such a reaction out of him by doing barely anything at all? he doesn’t understand the hold she has on him. ❝ will you? be my girlfriend, i mean. i’m realizing i never actually asked, which is probably a point against me, but i hope you won’t hold it against me. ❞

      immediately she hides her face from view,    bumping him with her hip as she tries to subdue the stupid smile that comes from his  inaccurate  compliment.    “pft.    she’d probably rather hear about her  cheeseball  son than his dumb little girlfriend.”    which is a title she seems rather pleased to have,    judging by the strangely light tone to her voice when she speaks again.    “so,    where do you  work  in this small town?”

❝ hmm... she’d probably believe me if i said i were working at a video game store. ❞ her voice, repeating the word ‘girlfriend’, is enough to make him jump up and down with glee. he loves it. he loves her. everything about her enamors him. if he has to be damned to walk the earth for eternity, he’s glad that he met her so early into his immortal life. ❝ oh, you’d be surprised — almost as surprised as her finding out i have a girlfriend. she’d want to hear all about you. ❞

      a rare laugh falls from her lips as she returns the gesture,    an arm around his waist accompanied by a  small shrug.    “well…    usually you start with  ‘dear’.    or ‘dearest’,    depending.”    a stupid little smirk.    “just..    start by telling her you’re safe and happy,    i guess?    like..    ‘hey mom..    it’s diego!    don’t worry about me,    i…    have an apartment in the city…     and a dog’?”    she isn’t sure how you’re supposed to talk to parents.    “just be your dorky self and i’m sure she’ll be…    super happy.”

he shrugs, trying to act unaffected, but he tightens his hold on bree, wanting her as close as possible. she keeps him centered, even when he’s on the edge, ready to fight the entire world. ❝ i’m not really a dog person, ❞ he says, a smile creeping upon his lips. ❝ how ‘bout i tell her about my beautiful girlfriend? ‘hey, mom, i’m fine. alive. moved to a small town with a pretty girl. ‘ yeah, i think she’d like that more. ❞

EDWARD ‘TEDDY’ REMUS LUPIN. WIZARD. 20. 

the death of teddy’s parents at the hands of hunters is where so much of his wrath stems from. 

he’s yet to find an anchor that helps him control his transformations. he’s not sure he’ll ever find one. he’s so filled with rage over his parents deaths, and the life he was born into. 

he’s a pretty even split of both his parents. smart as a whip, but able to pull off incredible pranks, just like his father, and kind as can be, but goofy and always up for an adventure, like his mother. 

he’s fiercely protective of his friends, and would do anything for them. he’s often seen as the one that takes care of the rest of his group of friends. he’s undeniable the Mom Friend™. 

he hates being called edward, and would much prefer to be called ‘teddy’. his father gave him the nickname. 

he doesn’t think he’s a good enough person to be called edward, as it was his grandfather’s name. he hopes one day he’ll feel worthy of the name.
