How exactly did all your giant characters become giant in the first place? Will there be a sort of origin story of how they got giant size?

It's a bit of a boring answer, but most of the giants came about their size naturally. ^u^; The main ones that don't are Gertcha -- who was a little over a meter tall before getting infused with magic due to a smithing accident -- and Ionara, who was also born big, but it was a chosen trait for her due to her being a being born artificially, along with the other space nymphs with her.

However, giants used to not exist in their world. Centuries ago, there was a war between great powers of that world. In the midst of it, a... spirit with power over transfiguration which one of the powers had been keeping sealed exploit for their own uses broke free, and once she did, developed a following as an extra player to put their old overlords down. Some of those followers were transfigured themselves, and not just into giants -- creatures like harpies, lamias, merfolk, 'taurs, and other such "hybrid" or "enhanced" individuals were transfigured by their leader. After the war, those people were never transfigured back, and they passed those changes onto some of their children, and after a few centuries, there you have it!
