Periodically changing the details on my various accounts.
This is my first post since July 23rd 2019.
It is significantly alarming that the privacy and security features on tumblr of all places, is better than that offered by sites I use weekly.

This was originally created / posted on March 23rd 2015. 1583 days ago. 15 months before the country voted to leave the European Union.
It was supposed to be a joke. It was written alongside a few other posts that posited the notion that Boris would replace David Cameron as PM in 2020.
Since then? Well Brexit has come to define British Politics, Cameron resigned after igniting the whole clusterfuck, to be replaced by Theresa May. Her Premiership will be remembered for its ineptitude.
And now, well here we are.
BBC News: Boris Johnson wins race to be Tory leader and Prime Minister.

In 2020, he’ll give those Great Supine Protoplasmic Invertebrate Jellies the heave-ho they jolly well deserve, the great ruddy rascals. And you had bloody well better believe that he’ll do so whilst opening sporting events by carrying an Ox the length of the pitch, before killing it with his bare hands.

I have moved. It was stressful. There remain boxes all over. I’m not sure where to put the units that hold my blu-rays / DVDs. But it is done.
And as, quite frankly, I’ve done enough adulting to last a thousand lifetimes, I treated myself yesterday to this:
It is as epic as it looks. And of the two Harry Potter ‘Movie Moments’ sets that Funko have released (thus far - y’all know they’re going to milk the licence as long as they can!) it is by far the best.
And, as I was able to purchase it from a UK store (Forbidden Planet), I didn’t have to pay a ransom to import it from Australia, as was the case with the previous ‘Movie Moments’ release:

This is the post - from 2016 - that tumblr recently flagged as sexually explicit, and warned me could result in an account termination, should further such material be posted.
Might I be so bold as to suggest fixing up the automated software a wee-bit?!?!
FFS tumblr.

Awoke to an email saying I’d committed a ‘serious content policy violation’ by previously posting sexually explicit content on my tumblr.
And that recurring instances of said violation can lead to account termination.
The actual post is currently hidden, awaiting review.
It was actually a gif.
Here’s the link to the original version (link included in my post, because I try to credit where I can).
Yep, definitely sexually explicit tumblr staff.

It would certainly make it appear less ‘busy’. I’ll have to have a mooch around t’internet to dig up the coin specifications as there’s a nagging thought at the back of my head regarding portraits on UK coinage (they’re clearly permitted, but I think there’s a requirement for accompanying text. I’ll have to have a look).
Hopefully it remains a commemorative coin, and not one that enters circulation. That way I can avoid it (I only collect circulation coinage), much like the 2018 Snowman coin.

First look at the design for the 2019 fifty-pence coin marking the 160th anniversary of the birth of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, creator of Sherlock Holmes.
I’m not going to lie, I’m a wee-bit disappointed. The reverse design, by Stephen Raw, isn’t the most inspiring; for what was a groundbreaking creation it seems somewhat bland, in my opinion.
No details yet on the release date, circulation status, or mint figures. It’s also not available to purchase as an individual coin as of writing; those wanting one early shall have to purchase a 2019 UK Coin Annual, such as the one below, from the Royal Mint themselves:

A man (for the moment) in a sled is traversing the skies above our country.
Pray tell, that the Government don’t mistake him for that drone from t’other day

Me.
I have decided to delve into the deep and murky world of twitter conspiracy theories regarding “Drone Gate” Turns out a D-Notice been issued, and clearly “there’s more to this than meats the eye”[SIC] and “We aren’t being told the TRUTH”.
The truth is out there. Though probably not on twitter.

I’ve been threatening to do ‘something’ with my Raspberry Pi all the way back to the release of the original device; since then I’ve gone onto acquire a more upto date model, but other than loading a few different linux installations and having a play around, I haven’t really done all that much of note.
I spotted this wee case a few weeks ago and decided to treat myself; it arrived today and is by far the best little case I’ve seen. Who knows, it just might motivate me to throw a linux .iso onto a memory card at some point and have a delve into the world of retro gaming
#I'm genuinely impressed with the build quality#Granted it cost more than your typical case but it honestly seems worth the money so far

I decided to download an archive of my account, and have been having a mooch through the content. Stumbled across this from February 2011.

This always makes me smile, because the cat in the picture looks exactly like my Grandads cat, Ginger, and he used to live on the computer desk.
