Alternate universe where the players from s1 are in the same game from s2. It could go a few ways I think!

Not that they rejoined the games with Gihun (although I’m open to any version of this AU), but that Gihun joins in 2021, watches 455 people die, then rejoins with the same motive from S2 in 2024, but this time Sangwoo, Ali, SaeByeok, Jiyeong, Han-minyeo, etc etc (not including the old man) are in the same game as Hyun-ju, Junhee, Geum-ha, Yonsik, Jungbae, And all the other characters in S2

Imagine Sangihun vs. 457… Sangwoo and Youngil (Inho) following Gihun to the bathroom, eyefucking him at the same time, being passive aggressive towards each other. AND Sangwoo almost immediately clocks Youngil. Tells Gihun he doesn’t trust him but the others (Specifically Sae-byeok, the beautiful mischievous woman she is) gets all sassy and teases Sangwoo about a “crush” on Gihun and how Sangwoo is just jealous of Youngil.

Sangwoo missing his childhood best friend whom he hadn’t seen in years only to realize that he’s not the same annoyingly affectionate, overbearing sweetheart he used to be. His heart breaking when Gihun tells the group about what the game’s true intentions are and how his best friend (longtime crush *cough cough*) experienced so much trauma he had no idea about.

Although I feel like this idea needs to be tweaked some more, since Gihun wouldn’t feel as much hurt as he did if he didn’t see his personal friends die in the first games, seeing as the dream about Sangwoo and Sae-Byeok really contributed to his character in S2 experiencing survivors guilt and watching the person he’d known since childhood die built his character in S2/3.

Plus, the games they played would really have to depend, since the only game that stayed the same in all seasons was Red Light, Green Light. I’d like to see how the S1 players would react to S2/3 games and how the S2/3 players would react to S1 games.

Anyways, I only wrote this ask bc I thought up the idea about a week or two ago and decided to come to you to see what you’d think bc I’d really like to expand on this silly idea!

merging the two seasons' characters would be so amazing!!! sangwoo clocking youngil's shit, saebyeok teasing him for his crush on gihun.... ugh, the interactions are endless!!! ali and hyunju being badass together, sangwoo being reminded of young gihun by daeho, saebyeok and junhee bonding over being gihun's adopted daughters, geumja loving to hear gihun gush over sangwoo's job, jungbae being kinda jealous of sangwoo stealing his spot as gihun's bff, the sangwoo-youngil beef 😌😌

i know for a fact that inho wouldn't kill youngil as soon as he did in canon if sangwoo was around lol he needs to make sure that man doesnt get near gihun

i do agree abt gihun not being as depressed, however, i do think he'd be incredibly traumatized still. even if the 455 ppl he saw die were strangers, we know he feels those deaths still and he'd feel incredibly guilty for having to kill someone in the last round especially.

and abt the games, im gonna give my own opinion, but u do whichever u prefer obviously 💖! i think the second game could be dalgona, the third mingle or tug of war, the fourth hide and seek, the fifth glass stepping stones, and lastly squid game. like this, we could have dalgona as a solitary game, mingle / tug of war to form teams, hide and seek to tear those teams apart, and then glass stepping stones which requires sacrifices.

but honestly, anon, im so in love with au, i think u could write whatever and i'd still absolutely love it!!! 🥰🥰

That man is so whipped for Gi-hun, who does absolutely anything, and In-ho wants to bite, chew, and eat him up (if you know what I mean 😏).

Hi, I love your posts and I hope above all that you're well, but I have a question: Do you have any opinions on what Inho will do from now on? Do you think he'll continue being the frotman? I'm upset about the end of the third season for Inho because we don't know if he'll become the leader again. Now that he doesn't have Gihun, his relationship with his brother is broken, and he no longer has any friends, what can he do from now on?

i really love this question, bc inho's ending also left me unsatisfied.

i think this depends on whether or not inho is gonna appear in the usamerican spinoff.

if he doesnt, i think he'll live his life out, not necessarily doing anything. the korean games are supposedly over and inho obviously doesnt want to take care of the baby, so i can see him just going back to a shoebox apartment and being miserable and lonely until he drinks himself into an early grave.

if he is on the spinoff, we have two options: 1) inho takes over as front man for the usamerican games. he has no direction, no meaning anymore, and continuing to be front man would be (pathetically) on brand for s3 inho. or 2) he tries to bring down the games. this one is a bit of a long shot, but i could see him infiltrating the games as front man and deciding that he needs them to end, as a way to honor gihun's sacrifice. gihun's death changed him in some way or another.

im praying for that spinoff's downfall, so i hope lbh is nowhere near it but i could def see him being a part of it, especially bc inho was barely utilized in s3; they could be saving the reveal of his past and how he became front man for the spinoff :////

he'd be happy seeing gihun through reinforced glass as he visits him in prison along with baby girl and them corresponding through increasingly sappy letters. inho would find it hot the way gihun keeps visiting even when he supposedly hates him and gihun would find inho's "sacrifice" romantic even though he's pissed at him for lying abt everything

So I've seen others send you some fun Inhun thoughts and ideas, and decided you might like this thought I had at 1am. :) For your consideration: Gi-hun's omega slick in In-ho's whiskey. In-ho loves the flavor of Gi-hun's slick so much that he gets the idea to add it to his drink. Or more unhinged, he just has it on the rocks minus the whiskey entirely. (Gi-hun tries to pretend this doesn't turn him on but he's actually into it. Freak4Freak behavior of course.)

truthfully i think if gihun had just like.waited a little longer or just asked politely, inho would have let him win with the baby. like he was already bending rules for him, and ending the game w the knife would have garnered sm more backlash from the vips. like they seemed pretty content with a two time winner. honest to god gihun couldve probably just been like "can i get down from here now" and inho wouldve let him
