Finally finished this piece! Here is a sleepy chibi Cedar sleeping at his desk. He sleeps a lot but also has a tendency to not consume enough sustenance to keep up his energy up. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dex: and here is the legendary cryptid code named "moss monster" passed out in its natural habitat. Here is Shroom-Boo! He is a little ghost mushroom and the mascot for the Shroom-Boo Tier. As well as being the like official unofficial mascot for Midnight Detective. Being they kind of fit with the whole mushroom and spooky aesthetic. They are just a little dude and super sweet. I plan to make some cute little pixel art stuff of them and to get some more practice in for when I start the actual game development for Midnight Detective.

Here some cute Fungi I made for the "Fungai" tier on my patreon and Ko-Fi. This design will probably be turned into a cute sticker design. I'm still working on the art for the other tiers plus even more Midnight Detective art! It's just a slow-going process because of work and my living situation.  You can get early access to posts and content that won't be shared for a long time. ☕ Ko-Fi Announcement!

Good evening, everyone! I would like to talk about my Ko-Fi. I (@curious-cecil) am trying to both move into a safe place and fund this project. I've got a few ideas on goals though they may be changed to something that you all may prefer more or works better with the current state of the project and living situation. You can just donate a little, commission me, or even support on the monthly tiers! The tiers offer special discounts on commissions and other benefits.

These are mostly my own ideas, however if you want different goals or extra things in the goals let me know! This includes suggesting things that aren't related to this project. ((Example: Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, Trigun, etc. related stuff.)) Current Goal Ideas: $50- Cat Boy Maid Dex [Fully Rendered +Poster/Merch] $100- Cat Boy Maid Darkwood [Fully Rendered +Poster/Merch] $175- Cat Boy Maids Dex & Darkwood [Fully Rendered +Poster/Merch] $250- 5 Page Mini Comic of Feral Darkwood [+Poster Design as one of the pages] $350- Additional Promotional and Merch Art for Midnight Detective $400- Lobby Frog & Tea Themed stickers and other Merch $450- 5 Page Mini Comic of Dex’s daily bad luck $550- Limited/Test Run Acrylic Charms [Will likely be very limited as I won't be able to handle much inventory.] The overall goal is $2,500 and commissions taken on Ko-Fi count towards this goal. But please worry about yourself first before trying to help me out. However, this helps me out greatly in order to continue working on this project and other projects for you all. Money raised from this goes mostly towards being able to move. However, some of the funding will go into merch and the game. ((Ex: Paying others who may work on this project as well.))

Creator Note: (@curious-cecil) Sorry for irregular posts and not many posts with new art. I have been busy with commission work as well as my busy at work. (Recently had some mandatory overtime.) I haven't had much of a chance to work on new art or finish up started pieces to a state they can be posted. I need to get better with my time management as well as get quicker with my art. 😥

Fungi Fact: Did you know oyster mushrooms are carnivores? In order to obtain the nitrogen they need, oyster mushrooms secrete a powerful toxin that stuns passing microscopic nematode worms, whereupon their sprawling fibers will seek out and enter their mouths and suck out their guts! These fungi are also the ones I based Darkwood's fungi on. Though a bit bluer and spookier. Source!

Happy Midnight folks! We are hard at work with behind the scenes things for Midnight Detective.

We will be trying to do progress reports and working on interactive stuff for posts. So, that you guys can be informed but also entertained while you wait for the comic and game!

Posts will now likely only be once a week until a significant queue has been made. We have more stuff we have done then what has been posted, however it's nothing that can be shared at this time. We are working on the project and posts for the account. Posting days are currently undecided. Please be patient while we try to get regular content made that can be shared! Currently most work we have is stuff that can't be shared at this time. We are planning on making fun info slides with interesting facts as well as making a public AMA post for the project. Though feel free to ask questions now if you have any! And they will be answered when possible!

Here are the initial concept sketch of Darkwood and Dex put together. The first one looks like they are both a bit flabbergasted or speechless at something idiotic. The second looks like they both very annoyed and pleading for someone to stop being stupid. Dex's teen years had a certain... phase in his life where he sorta embraced New Downpours weirdness in both his attitude-and fashion. In other words our sunny boy had a goth/emo phase. Right now this is just concept art as certain details could change in the future 🎨Art & 📝Writing: @SweeyRyvre
