— i hate it here: describe your favorite escape

i can’t really think of an answer for a physical escape, but something i love is the feeling of being so completely sucked into a movie or a book that it’s like you’ve escaped and been swept away somewhere where the real world has no hold on you. then you look up from the page or stumble out of the dark theater, and it’s kind of disorienting, like you’ve been transported to oz and back. so that’s my favorite form of escape.

— i look in peoples windows: do you enjoy people watching? 

i do! when i was a kid, i stayed in a hotel that had a big window over the main entrance, and i loved watching everyone coming and going and making up stories in my head about where they were from and why they were there.
